Can I sum up my work on Wattpad in three quotes? Maybe:
"I have sworn on the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man"- Thomas Jefferson
“No one says a novel has to be one thing. It can be anything it wants to be, a vaudeville show, the six o’clock news, the mumblings of wild men saddled by demons.”- Ishmael Reed
"The truth is rarely pure and never simple"- Oscar Wilde
My (pen)name is Martin Owens, I am somewhere around twenty years old, and I have been writing for most of that.
I love TS Eliot, Ralph Ellison, William Shakespeare, Joseph Conrad, Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, Laurence Sterne, Joseph Heller, Geoffrey Chaucer, F Scott Fitzgerald, Jules Verne, John Donne, CS Lewis, PG Wodehouse, George Orwell, Graham Greene, William Faulkner, Saul Bellow, Alexandre Dumas, Edgar Allan Poe, and a lot more.
I love art in all of its forms. Architecture, paintings, theater, movies (sometimes), music (especially Jazz), and most of all, literature.
I have theorized that I love art because I love the world but cannot possibly experience it all.
I am a Christian, and have somewhat undefined political views (mostly see Jefferson) but don't let that stop you from reading me.
