Chapter 6- Little angel

Little authors note- whose ready for Civil War!! Sorry work has been in the way again of my updating but here it is, yayy new chapter and hopefully another later, enjoy.

        Forest and I arrive at the bridge and I see everyone at the conference table watching Loki's interrogation and I limp over. Steve stands up offering his chair since it was closer, I smile " thank you captain". He nods as I sit with forest on my lap and he takes the next chair over. I look at the screen in the table and see the director and Loki. Loki smirks at Fury " ooh. It burns you to come so close. To have the tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all of mankind to share, and then to be reminded what real power is". I shake my head " long winded ass". I then look down  to the little girl on my lap " never repeat what mommy says unless I tell you it's okay". She giggles and nods and I focus on Fury " yeah, well let me know if real power wants a magazine or something". The feed cuts as the director walks away from the cell and I snort " go director". Bruce chuckles lightly " he really grows on you, doesn't he?" Steve looks down at the table then up at Thor " Loki's  going to drag this out, so Thor, what's his play?" I run my fingers through my daughters shoulder length dirty blonde hair as Thor speaks " he has an army called the chitauri , that none of Asgard nor any world know. He means to lead them against your people, they will win him the Earth. Return, I suspect for the tesseract". The captain looks befuddled " an army, from outer space". I smile at the innocence " you'll believe once you see, trust me". Bruce shifts " so he's building another portal, that's what he needs Erik Selvig for". Thor looks up " Selvig?" Bruce nods " he's an astrophysicist ". Thor replies " he's a friend " he then looks at me and I bite my lip " sorry it slipped my mind".
       I stand and set Forest down on the chair " stay". I limp over to a screen and I look at info about my brother when I hear " Loki is beyond reason , but he is of Asgard  and he's my brother". Natasha speaks up " he's killed eighty people in two days" and I add " and took control of my brother and Selvig". Thor adds sheepishly " he's adopted". I turn back to the screen when Tony enters. A few big science terms are tossed around when Fury enters the bridge " dr banner is only here to track the cube, I was hoping you might join him". Steve looks at everyone " let's start with that stick of his. It may be magical but it works an awful lot like a hydra weapon". Fury looks at the team and says he wants to know how it's able to control people. Tony and Bruce leave and I notice Thor and Steve looking at Forest who is now on Nat's lap and I smile " cute isn't she?" Both men nod " she looks to be the brightest of young Angels" Thor comments and Steve looks at me " what's her name?" I look at the young girl " Forest Loreigh". The little girl looks at me at the mention of her name and she climbs off of Natasha and runs over to me. I lift her up " forest meet Thor, my space friend I met last year, and then this is SteveRogers". She smiles at Thor and when she sees Steve her eyes widen and she looks at me " mommy captain America". I let out a laugh " sorry Steve, Phil turned her into a fan". She then hides her face in my shoulder as Steve chuckles " I feel flattered a beautiful little girl likes me". I let out a little fake cough " much better than Phil" said agent rolls his eyes. Phil gives me a look " funny Barton, you should be a professional comedian". I smirk " well we all know my pretty face would look good on tv". Forest lets out a yawn and I kiss her head " you tired sweetheart, let's get you to bed". I smile at everyone " night guys". I start to walk off and when I leave the bridge the captain catches up to me " allow me to escort you ma'am". I smile " I told you to call me by my name captain". The tall blonde smiles " sorry, habit". Soon we reach my room, Forest fast asleep in my arms and I smile at Steve " thank you for the escort, I'll see you later". He nods " see you later Feralin". He turns and walks off and I enter my room. " oh that's a fine piece of man, give me the strength to keep doing my job and not act like a school girl with a crush". I lay Forest on the bed and cover her up, soon joining her after I change out of my uniform .
