Interview With ChickNAlfredo

1.)  What inspired you to write The Summer of '95?

A whole lot of things! These are only the factors I remember... First of all, it was summer. Second of all, I was loving Italy, thanks to a tv show called The Borgias and a food called pasta. And third of all, I'd just watched a movie (I don't remember what it was called) which inspired me. Of course, the book took a whole different direction.

2.) What kind of things do you draw inspiration from?

Movies, tv and books as well as music. Other than that, life, I guess. Learning new things in school and from documentaries always set my mind spinning. I'm a very curious type of person, and sometimes curiosity becomes imagination.

3.) What are some of your favorite books on Wattpad?

AlysArden's The Casquette Girls is a winner.

4.) What was the first book you ever read on Wattpad?

Chocoholics Anonymous by shadafow. I don't like reading on Wattpad, though. I prefer holding a book in my hands.

5.) Do you plan your chapters before you write them or do the ideas for the chapters come to you as you write them?

A mix. I always have an idea of what's to come, but the way I get to these events is something I plan along the way. Sometimes, I have to push some of the things that I planned to the next chapter because I made so much up as I wrote..

6.)  What is your biggest accomplishment on Wattpad?

Reaching 15.000 reads for the first time, I think.

7.) Which one of your fictional characters can you most identify with and why?

I can identify with most of my characters. I identify with Jessica from The Summer of '95's frustration about her mother's illness, Melissa's (IA) need to break free and learn new things, Adrianne's (TBC) aim for prefecture, Serena's (IA) wish to fulfil her dead father's goals for her. They all have some of me in them.

8.) What is you favorite book you have written so far? And why?

I think that right now, the most popular one is The Summer of '95, but I think The Broken Crown will become even better.

9.) Any advice to new writers?

Don't be afraid of criticism. It's the biggest compliment there is.

More about you questions:

11.) What is your favorite color?

Blue or black. Black is always the new black.

12.) Comfort food?

Hmmm. Coca Cola isn't a food, but it's my addiction.

13.) Your favorite quote?

Omg. "Hatred is gained as much by good works as by evil" or "The ends justifies the means" from Nicollo Machiavelli OR "Never forget who you are, for surely the world won't. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness" by George R. R. Martin.

 14.) Favorite movie?

Shiii... Just going to list a few... Lion King, Blood Diamond, The Help, Black Swan etc.

Finish the sentence (just for fun):

That awkward moment when…. you don't know how to finish this sentence :p

Anything you'd like to add?

Just a lot of thanks to all my readers and followers. They're my biggest inspiration (quite literally in some cases. You know who you are). <3
