Takeshi couldn't open his eyes.
Why do I have to have the longish eyelashes? So fudging heavy.
He felt the rays of light on his eyelids. Hot and bothered, he sat up and rubbed his eyes. Few tiny pieces of dirt fell. The sun was up on the sky already, shining brightly, as if mocking him.
Oh, Takeshi, you're sooooo late. Ha, ha!
He crossed his arms, it was 9 o'clock. Pops' probably caring for his wheat. That old man, so damn hardworking. He sighed, thinking deeply...
Go to school... or nah?
Inner bad boy said no. Inner good boy said yes. Sadly, no matter what the bad one say, Takeshi always found himself following his good boy instincts.
He shook his head and walked to his bathroom.
.
"My towel is outside..." Takeshi groaned. Then he nodded and spoke as if he's declaring a pledge, "From this moment on, I will never forget about my towel!"
And he walked out.
His father saw him through the window.
Takeshi blinked.
His father stared.
Takeshi tried to cover his manly parts.
His father shouted, "You're getting big, Ta!"
He never felt so embarrassed in his life.
.
"Bye pops." Takeshi waved as he started pedaling.
"Cover your little man next time okay?" his father sounded playfully.
He ignored him, continuing to pedal.
Then came the silence.
"I love you!" his father shouted.
Takeshi stopped and turned, giving his old man a heart shape.
He saw his pops smile.
He turned and pedaled again.
.
His flip phone said it was 9.38 A.M.
Why do I have to live in a village? Why not in this town?
He slapped his forehead.
Oh right, I'm poor.
Takeshi had been pedaling for thirty minutes, but he hadn't reached his school yet. His mind kept on giving him an imaginary conversation.
He looked at his flip phone. Google's saying that he only need to turn right, left and left again to arrive at his new school.
He felt anxious.
I want to turn back... But I can't.
.
He was late, so of course, the principal lectured him a little bit.
"You're late and this is only the first day."
Takeshi almost rolled his eyes.
"I'm very strict and I can expel you any time."
Your point?
"You're a scholarship student and you should be the one giving examples to other students!"
Do you not have other conjunctions to use other than 'and'?
"W-what did you just say, young man??" the principal exclaimed.
Oops.
"I'm not exactly polite. So pardon me if I speak my brutally honest thoughts to you, sir." Takeshi replied with a tight lipped smile. "I'm very sorry, but that's why I'm here. I'm enrolled here so I can correct and develop a better character. Rest assured, I will attend a week of detention. But now all I want to do is to study, can I be excused?"
The principal's mouth was slightly open. He was totally gaping like a fish.
"I take that as a yes. So if you would excuse me..."
Takeshi ran as quickly as he could from the principal office.
.
"Room 505..." Takeshi was in the fifth floor, skimming through the numbers on the doors.
He found it, then pushed the door open.
Many eyes were on him.
I know I'm attractive, but seriously. The paper on your desk is more important.
"Mind telling me why you're late?" the teacher furrowed her eyebrows.
"Because I woke up late." he replied simply. But he was not looking at the teacher. He was looking at the sheets of printed papers on her desk.
"Care to introduce yourselves?"
He shrugged, "Well, not really."
"I was asking you to." The teacher looked constipated.
"No you were not. What you were asking was for my opinion. A rhetorical question."
Takeshi smiled sarcastically, took a paper from her desk and sat down at the back.
He didn't bother to look at the teacher. She'd probably looked like the way the principal was...
He went to ask his sitting partner, "Hey. What should I- "
She turned slowly and looked at him.
He froze.
"Xyleena?"
