After a meeting..

(Zechariah x reader)

Your POV

The hallways were empty in ZPA, you weren't used to the sight but then again class was suspended and of course students wouldn't be here and if they were why would they be? You were a teacher in ZPA teaching your favorite subject. It was amazing being in a place like this you thought as you looked at your watch...

3 : 0 2 P M

"oh god.." You said realizing how long you've been walking through corridors. You started to run to the meeting room, you were supposed to be there at 3:00pm but it was already 3:03pm. "No! I can't be late! It's just a few minutes right?!" You screamed at yourself hoping that you weren't that late. As you ran through the hallways you finally spotted the door of the room you were looking for.

"There it is!" You ran and saw the door swing open. "I wonder if y/n is still coming." You hear a all too familiar voice say. 'wait a minute.. That's Zechariah!' You thought as you slammed your head onto the door. "great." Was all you can mumble through the pain.. And embarrassment. "y/n! Are you ok?!" Zechariah asks "y-yeah I'm fine.." You stutter trying to hide what just happened.

"Well if your sure you're alright please come in" Zechariah says walking back into the room. 'that was stupid and cheesy' you thought but you brush it off. You enter the room, inside you saw the rest of the teachers. Alanzo, Jackie, Carrie, Malcolm, Fabian and Perci (Right? I think I missed someone[Cameron will not be here]). "y/n!, I thought you wouldn't make it!" Jackie screamed, "y/n are you ok?" Fabian asks. "Y-yes, I'm fine" you stuttered.

"ahem." You look behind you to see Zechariah. "Now that's all cleared up, We can begin" Zechariah says sternly. "Ok, lets clear our first problem. Ruben (Rusty), he's one of our most trouble making students and he disobeyed a lot of our rules. We gave him several verbal warnings and detention but-"

"alright.. Meeting adjourned" Zechariah says as everyone starts to leave the room. "y/n.." You turn around to see Zechariah "I need to talk to you..". You start to worry.. "yes what is it Zech?" You stutter. "......" Zech doesn't respond.. You start to get more worried. "Hey Zech, what's wrong?" You look at him. Zech slides a card towards you and leaves the room.

You open the card wondering 'how can he write?'. Inside the card says:

"Good afternoon y/n,

With the help of Fabian I was able to write this letter to you. I just want to say that I have feelings for you. It's alright if you don't share the same feelings that I have for you, I completely understand. Thank you for taking your time on this letter and I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship.

You were shocked, you didn't think he'd like you.. You exit the room and looked around the corridors.. He's not there anymore. You went outside the school, a little disappointed since you were never able to say something to Zechariah.

Zech's POV

"Sigh, What am I doing?" I say walking out of the school. y/n will not accept my letter, I know it. They don't have feelings for me. I start walking away from school grounds, from a distance I saw y/n. They looked a bit sad.. Probably because of the letter. I didn't want to talk to them yet if they have something negative to say.

Your POV

You see something yellow in a distance. You focus your eyes on it.. It's Zechariah! 'wow, I really need to get glasses..' You thought. You started running towards him but he started walking away further and further. It was hard to catch up with him, he's a giant cheetah after all.

"Zech!" You shout but nothing happened. "Zechariah!" You shout again, nothing happened. You decided to shout one more time "I have something to say about your letter!!". Zech turns around and faces you "Yes y/n? What is it?". You catch your breath "phew.. I just want to say something about your letter.."

Zech's POV

I jolt hearing those words but I looked at them, I have to take the news as it is. I'm the one who started this after all. I ask "What is that something?". They catch their breath. 'I'm not that fast am I?' I thought. y/n fixes their posture a bit and opens their mouth "About your letter i-" I cut her off "Whatever it is you're going to say if its negative I feel that it would be best if you'd rather not say it at all"

Your POV

You can't believe Zech would think that but you understand that he's just worried for your answer. You say "It's nothing negative Zech". Zechariah's ears perk up, he looks at you. You take a deep breath, "Zechariah.. I.. I didn't think you'd like me that way at all.. Believe it or not I like you too, but I didn't know how'd you react at first. I just never thought you'd-"

He cuts you off again "Stop, you're being repetitive y/n". Zech continues "I get it already, we both like each other..". Zech looks at the floor while you look at him. You say "If it's too fast we can stay friends first" you look away without turning your head. He looks back at you.

"I would like that very much". You look at him, Zech smiles slightly. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow y/n" he says. You smile "Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow Zech". Zech starts to walk away but then stops. "Oh and one more thing" he gives you a small rose and a little peck on the cheek and walks away.

You put your hand over the place where he kissed you. You look at the tiny rose in your hand and laugh a bit. "heh, he probably got advice from Fabian haha". You start to walk back home. You put the small rose in a vase with a bit of water and look at it for a bit. You sigh happily and went to the bathroom to freshen up.
