chapter 12

Niall’s POV

I don’t get what happened. Meaghan was perfectly fine a half an hour ago, until she got sick and threw up. Since then she never left the bathroom. We are late for the get together at Liam and Taylor’s flat, but I don’t care. Meaghan is sick and she needs me. I should call Liam and tell him we’re not coming. I got the home phone and dialed his flat number.

“Are you guys okay?”Liam asked.

“Well I am. But I can’t say the same thing for Meaghan. She got sick a half an hour ago and never left the bathroom. And honestly I don’t know what to do. She never has been in the bathroom for a while before, even when she is sick.”I explained nervously.

“Knock on the door and ask if she’s alright.”

“Right now?”

“Yes go! Don’t worry, I won’t hang up.” I put the phone down and went to the bathroom door. I knocked lightly on it.

“M- Meaghan, are you okay? Want me to come in?”I asked her.

“No!” She groaned. “Don’t come in!”

“Do you need anything?”

“You!” I opened the door and stepped in the bathroom. I saw Meaghan on the ground, her legs up against her chest. I got down onto her level and carried her bridal style to our bedroom. I put the blankets over her and kissed her forehead.

“What hurts Princess?” She groaned again. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. She pointed to her stomach. I nodded. She groaned again. I once again kissed her forehead. I grabbed the phone and held it against my ear.

“What do I get to heal a stomach ache?”I asked Liam. "I forget."

“Give her some Tylenol and water or tea.”

“Thanks Liam.”

“Hey no problem. Tell her everyone wishes for her to feel better.”

“I will tell her. Thanks, bye.”

“Bye.”

I hung up the phone and set it down on the computer desk. I went into the bathroom and went to look if we have Tylenol. We do. I grabbed it. I went downstairs to get Meaghan some water. I went back upstairs and went over to Meaghan.

“Princess?” She turned a bit, but groaned. I put the Tylenol and water on the computer desk. I went over to Meaghan to help her up. She groaned doing so. I handed the Tylenol and water to her. She took the pills in one hand and the water in the other. She put a pill in her mouth and drank some water. She did the same for the other 2 Tylenol pills. She handed me the glass that still has a bit of water in it. I put the glass on the computer desk.

“Okay, now get some sleep. I’ll check up on you every 5 minutes.”I told her while helping her lay back down in bed.

“Thanks babe.”She said and passed out sleeping. I kissed the top of her head and went downstairs to watch Football.

Liam’s POV

“Are Meaghan and Niall coming? It’s been an hour already.”Taylor asked. I shook my head.

“No, Meaghan’s not feeling well. She has a stomach ache.”I answered. Taylor dropped her pizza which thankfully landed on her plate.

“Meaghan. Sick.”She repeated. I nodded.

“Yes, why?”

“She never had gotten sick since when she was 6!”Taylor exclaimed. “Okay, that might be a lie, but she hardly gotten sick since then! Like maybe not even once a year. I know it sounds crazy, but I think there is something wrong.”

“She is fine, just the stomach flu.”I told Taylor. She sighed.

“Whatever. Let’s just play the game.” Taylor, Harry and I are playing Mario Kart on Wii.

Taylor chose Mario, Harry chose Toad and I chose Donkey Kong.

“It’s on like Donkey Kong!”I exclaimed. In 3, 2, 1 GO! And the race was on.

After about 2 hours of playing Mario Kart, we started to play truth or dare. It was my turn now.

“Taylor truth or dare?”I asked her. She bit her lip thinking.

“Truth.”

“How many boyfriends did you have before me?”I asked her. She just sat still. Uh oh.

Taylor’s POV

That word. The word I try not to think about. Boyfriends. Boyfriend. Ex boyfriend. Also known as my abusive ex boyfriend. I try not to talk or think about him. Our relationship wasn’t even long. Only one month. His name is Luke. I don’t know why I dated him. Oh yeah, he was so sweet, caring and gentle. He was the love of my life. I should’ve listened to Meaghan from the start. She told me what Luke does, but I never believed he would do such a thing. But now, I regret it. I regret everything. I know that Meaghan and I were troublemakers, so was he because he was part of our gang. Until when we broke up.

*****Flashback*****

I was packing my bags. I can’t believe it. Luke cheated on me. With more than one girl. He had sex with them too. He was using me. I should’ve known since when he first hit me. He is now at the bar and I thought now was the perfect time to escape. Once I grabbed my bag I was out the door. I got my cell phone out and called Meaghan. Answer Meaghan! Please! I know you’re angry at me! Please answer!

“Hello?” I sighed.

“Can I come over?” I sniffled.

“Have you been crying?”

“Yes. Can I please come over for the night?”

“Sure, see ya in a bit.” I hung up and the familiar noise of Luke’s car zoomed past me. I put my phone back in my pocket and started to run to Meaghan’s flat. I turned the corner and kept running.

“TAYLOR!”Luke’s voice yelled through the distance. I started to run faster. A lot faster. I don’t want to be near him. Not even at school. I reached Meaghan’s flat and knocked on the door rapidly. The door opened and I went in. I closed it behind me. After putting my bag in the guest room, I told Meaghan everything. I told her that I am sorry for not listening to her. She is so forgiving. That’s one of the reasons why I love her. I told her that I’m not staying here long. But she told me that she’s moving back with her dad. She can’t afford this flat anymore. I told her I can help pay, but she refused.

Everyone looked at me with worry in all of their eyes. I blinked and shook my head a bit. Everyone sighed.

“I had one. Not a pleasant one.”

“What happened?”Eleanor asked.

“He would cheat on me and hit me. But I ended it quickly as I could though. Which I’m glad I did. Cause now I have the perfect boyfriend.” I glanced at Liam, who smiled and wrapped his arm around me.

“I will never do that to you so no need to worry.” I nodded.

After another hour, everyone left due to being tired.

“Well I’m ready to go to sleep now.”I said and flopped down on the bed. I got under the covers.

“Goodnight Liam. Love you.”

“I love you more. Sweet dreams babe.” Liam kissed my forehead, and then I closed my eyes and instantly fell asleep.
