Chapter 3

Meaghan’s POV

I walked out of the bathroom and went over towards Niall.

“Sorry.”He said.

“About what?”I asked him confused.

“Hitting your nose. It was bleeding and I feel guilty of hurting you.” I giggled and smiled. I only smile and giggle when I’m with Taylor. What’s happening to me?

“It’s okay. It didn’t hurt and don’t feel guilty.”

“So what do you want to do? Where do you want to go?”Niall asked. I shrugged. “What were you and Taylor coming here to do?” I gulped. I shouldn’t tell him. He’ll be like my father. I just know it. Or he can walk off, leave. I don’t want that to happen. He is cute and sweet. He makes me feel, happy? But why? I think I need to go to a mental asylum just to figure this out. Just then, my phone started to ring. I got it out of my pocket and the caller ID said it is my dad. Oh shit! What does he want? I gulped hard before answering.

“Hi dad.”I said to him.

“COME HOME NOW!”He yelled, making me flinch and move my cell farther away from my ear.

“Okay I-I will.”

“MAKE IT SNAPPY BITCH!”

I hung up the call and put it back in my pocket. Fear started to build up over me. My heart racing, the palms of my hands sweaty. I don’t dare show Niall that I’m scared though! He doesn’t need to know anything. I faced Niall.

“Who was that? Why was he yelling at you?”Niall asked me full of concern in his voice.

“Oh um. It was my father. H- He wants me home because a window broke.”I lied.

“Did you do it?” I shook my head.

“No, that’s why he wants me home.” Niall shook his head understanding.

“He wants you safe because a burglar did it right?”He asked. I shook my head.

“Then I’ll walk you home so you’ll be safe.” I shook my head.

“No, no. It’s okay. He didn’t take anything. I’ll be fine.” My father did take my happiness though. So no, I will not be fine. I am broken. I only have one true friend, Taylor. The rest went on my dad’s side. That’s another reason why I am bad. To get my emotions out.

“Can I have your number? You know so we can call or text each other.” I sighed.

“555-0121.”I said fast. “If you didn’t get that, ask Taylor for it. I have to go.” I ran out the mall doors. Once I got on my street I started to walk. Fear building up even more inside me for each step I take. Closer to that hell hole. Tears all ready started to blur my vision. I wiped them quickly. I walked up my driveway. More tears blurring my vision, then falling down onto my cheeks. I opened the front door slowly. He grabbed my shoulders and shoved me inside, falling onto the floor. He slammed the door shut. The smirk on his face says something bad. Something terrible is going to happen. Happen to me.

Taylor’s POV

I walked out of the bathroom. I walked over to Niall. No Liam. No Meaghan. Where did Liam go? More importantly where did Meaghan go?

“Where’s Meaghan?”I asked Niall, getting a little worried if my answer is right.

“Her dad called. She said that he wants her home because a burglar smashed a window.”He answered. Fuck! I knew it had to do something about her father!

“Shit!”I yelled.

“What’s wrong with that? Was is a good window or something?” I shook my head.

“Enough about the window! She’s in danger! I have to go save her!”I exclaimed.

“Save who?”Liam asked standing beside Niall.

“Meaghan!” I ran out of the mall. I made it into the parking lot, trying to find my car.

“Taylor! Wait!”Liam yelled. I found my car and got in. The boys were at the other side of me. I rolled the window down half way.

“Fine! Get in! Fast!”I yelled. The boys got in a flash. I drove quickly out of the parking lot, onto Meaghan’s street, and pulled up into her house. I got out of the car. I heard screaming and something fragile breaking. Oh shit! I hope we’re not late.

“That’s her house?”Liam asked.

“There’s screaming and things smashing.”Niall said. We got to the front door.

“Liam, call the police now.”I whispered. “Niall, you’re coming in with me.” Without thinking of what the plan is next, I opened the door and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
