First things first there will be homophobic slurs throughout this story and lots of violence because that how it would have been back in the 1700's and 1800's. There also may be some mature content and some topics that people might be sensitive too. So you have been warned. Enjoy!
A brief history lesson feel free to skip.
People had hope for a new land of promises of valuable resources so people from the European countries traveled by boat over to the Americas. In north America there were thirteen British colonies ruled by King George III. We were getting tax without representation with started the American revolution. Red coats are Britain and blue coats are the men rebelling against the king. Some groups that took part are the Sons of Liberty and Daughters of Liberty. Important names are George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Aaron Burr, John Lawrence, John Adams.
Now on to the whole point of the story :)
Daniel Howell and Philip Lester. These two men, who without their unexpected trip to the new colonies would have never met. The story about to be told would have never occurred. Their tragic love story would never be true. The ups and downs of life in the new lands will be told as they fight for America, their live and their love for each other. Will everything work out, or will their love be burned to the ground like the city of New York.
