Finally! made it to 8th period. I'm not allowed to do dance or cheer or sports, so my step-dad let me help train the 8th grade football team since I do have experience.
"But Coach! She's a girl!!." one boy yells
"Yeah! She knows nothing about football!!!" another kid yells
"Yes I am a girl.. Thank you for pointing that out, I'm sure that helped everyone realize what I am. Thank you." I answer to one kid.
"Hey! Calm down ladies! She's worked with multiple varsity, junior varsity and freshman teams! She's also sat in on some college practices (my real dad was an assistant coach for LSU Tigers.)" My step-dad yells out.
"Boys! She knows what she's doing. I've seen her play. Better than some of you! Now quit whining you sound like my 4 year old daughter." Coach Somers yells.
The boys groan as I start them off with some stretches to loosen up their muscles. Occasionally I throw in some cheer stretches, it's funny seeing their faces as I slide down into my splits.
After that I go outside with boys on the A team. Oh god... Mikey's on the A team? I think I migth die... He's so cute.
"Alright. We're gonna work on balance and your inner core." I tell them.
The guy who pointed out I was a girl said "How is that gonna help us?"
"Well I've seen you try to catch a ball in mid air. Frankly sweetheart I think you need some lessons from a girl." Some of the boys start laughing, the rest dont really much laugh but smile.
"I don't know what ya'll laughing about (yes I say ya'll I'm from Texas don't judge.) All ya'll need lessons." That got them quiet. For the next 30 minutes I work with them on focus and consentration, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. They seemed to have fun, so I turned them back over to my step-dad. As I walked back inside, I saw the other team (B team) running laps, poor them. After I dropped them off with my dad I walked to get my stuff from my locker. As I open my locker a note falls out with three phones numbers. Louis, Mikey, and Jason, then under that a note, Cassidy text me please? ~Louis
