Cedric couldn't sleep and he didn't want to disturb Izzy, so he left her room. Unsurprisingly, he ran into a certain Shadowhunter that was ignoring him. Izzy's older brother stood before him and Cedric could feel his heart pounding. "Hey."

"Hi," Alec's disgruntled figure stopped before he could run into the slightly shorter man. One of his hands ran over his neck in nervousness. Alec looked ashamed and dreadful since the last time Cedric had seen him.

"Are we going to talk about it?" Cedric questioned. Alec tried to sidestep him, but Cedric blocked the path. Rolling his eyes in annoyance, Cedric pushed Alec back onto the stone wall and stared at him. "You want to tell me why you were so jealous? Or am I going to have to assume that it had something to do with the fact that I was the person you most love?"

It was disheartening to Alec that Cedric was so nonchalant about the entire situation. He knew that Cedric was just a nonchalant person and that it shouldn't bother him, but it did. Alec wanted Cedric to show some sort of emotion, but it was his defense mechanism. Alec, too, had his own defense. "Cedric, shut up."

"No, I won't shut up, Alec. We have to talk about the fact that you're in love with me," Cedric glared right back at Alec. They were both dominate, neither wanting to submit themselves to the other. It was a big deal when the two got into a fight: one because it didn't happen often and two because they were very close.

With blazing eyes, Alec pushed Cedric away from him as if the close encounter made his body lit on fire. Alec was red, angry at the boy in front of him. The tables turned and Alec was the one pressing Cedric to the wall. "The demon tricked me!"

"So you don't wonder if my lips taste the same as they do when we were thirteen?" Cedric pushed as he looked into Alec's brown eyes. Alec froze, unsure of what to do. His heart pounded in his chest as he was surprised at the question. It was true, he did wonder that. "So me being close to you doesn't bother you? Me kissing other people wouldn't make you jealous? That's what you're saying to me right now, Alexander?"

"Yes," Alec responded before pulling back. He stood across from a heaving Cedric and stared at him for a few seconds. After realizing what he said, Alec turned and walked down the hall to find Jace and attempt to explain himself and figure out the problem of Valentine.

Izzy and Cedric were walking around the Institute together trying to find the red head of the hour. Cedric informed the younger sister of his crush the altercation that went down in the hallway and she heavily rolled her eyes at her brother.

"I told you he's repressed," Izzy rolled her eyes as they turned a corner. Upon seeing their newly formed Shadowhunter, Izzy led the way to her. "There you are. Are you okay?"
