You were the stars and i was the sky
Bound together by the darkness of night
Torn apart by the break of dawn
Soon enough we would crumble and fall
Our love used to shine throughout the night
Brighter than the moonlight
But as the days went on it began to fade
Slowly like a candle flame
We grew tired of the same old fights
about who was right
And now here we are with our broken hearts
We reminisce in our honeymoon stage
Together till death do us part, or so they say
The night is dark and gloomy but not for long
I saw you with someone new the other day
Didn't know it was so easy for you, to be with someone new
It's okay I understand you've moved on from the past.......
You came to my wedding wasn't it wonderful
I looked back and realized that you and I were never going to be
Don't get me wrong it was hard for me
I believed that I would never love and no one could ever love me the way you had
But it was a lie
one I put into my head because i couldn't understand where our love ended and I began
Until one day when i looked at myself in the mirror and said " I need to live again"
And as the days went on i began to do just that
And here we are joyful but not remorseful of who we were in the past
At that moment you began to cry
And in your eyes I saw great fear of the future and regret of the past
Your sobs were those of a man filled with great lamentation
With your shaking voice you pleaded for my return needing my love.....
