Chapter 4

After 2 days of rest, they woke up early to go to school. Jane saw Carmen with Louis.

"Carmen!" Jane shouted.

Carmen just glared at Jane when she saw her running towards her.

"C'mon, Louis. I don't want to make a scene." They walked away from Jane.

Jane felt alone once again.

That's the first fight she encountered in her new school.

Jane was eating alone in the canteen, while every girl was staring and wondering why she was alone. But they don't care anyway. She's a loser.

In this situation, Jason saw her loneliness. He walked to her.

"Hi, Jane." He said while showing his smile.

Jane's heart beat fast..... Thank God she didn't blush.

"Hi. What are you doing here?" she said nervously.

"Just asking if we have any assignments."

"No...I mean none."

"Oh, thanks."

Jason walked away.

After the break, they became partners in a dance exercise in their P.E subject.

As expected, Jane was moving carefully but slowly. Jason got mad of how Jane stepped on his foot, but he apologized.

Lunch came, a time where students were waiting for. Jason joined Jane in a table.

"Mind if I sit with you?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Did you have a fight with Carmen?"

"Yes, but I think I can handle it."

"Okay. Just to let you know, I'm here if you need someone to talk to."

"Thank you.......for understanding me."

"You're welcome." A big smile appeared on his face.

Jane was melting, really melting, her heart was pounding fast, like it was gonna jump out of its place!

They finished eating together, Actually, that was the first time that Jane ate with Jason because he just doesn't care before.

Jane went home with a huge smile. She can't forget what happened a while ago. But, she can't also forget Carmen's reaction when they were having a conversation.

It was terrifying. You can see in her eyes that she was really mad at her. Jane tried her best not to look at her but she can't forget the way she spoke yesterday.

She walked straight to her room and had a little time for herself.

Jane's POV

What is going on?! Why did my best friend got angry? Is that because of me? Why? I must do something that won't hurt her, like the way I am before.

I miss her. I really miss her.

*Sighs* When will we meet again, Jason? I still love you. You've been my crush -- I mean I loved you for years! Can you explain what's happening to my heart? Please?

I don't know if you make me happy or angry because you are the reason why Carmen and I are fighting.

I cannot go away from you. Because right now, I need a friend but Louis was with Carmen and Carmen was angry at me. But Carmen wants you to get out of my life and bring the old me back! What will I do?

I know! Little by little, I will depart from you and ask Carmen to forgive me for what I did.

Carmen's POV

I miss Jane even if I'm mad at her. It was just her fault. I want her to change, but all I was afraid of is that she would become like the other girls in school who are so mean!

I really miss my BEST, BEST FRIEND. There will be a time that I will forgive her and say sorry to her. It's not yet the right time. Maybe someday.
