  If you go to Johor (a southern state in Malaysia just the opposite of Singapore), you won't missed a beautiful stretch of beach called Danga Bay, Tanjung Puteri. Just opposite Danga Bay, you will see a hilly area which belongs to the Sultan of Johor, an area called Bukit Serene.  

You can see many colonial bungalows, and you won't fail to see the abandoned ones. One of those is the famous Villa Nabila.History has it that the original name of the place is Christine Palace.It is abandoned for a long time and there are several stories surrounded its mysterious compound.

  These are some of the stories as written by several sources:  

1st Version : There was a very rich family living in the home. The couple had only one child named Nabila. The parents died from an accident and Nabila, being the only child, inherited all the wealth. She was still very young. The live-in maid who was caring for her became greedy of what left and one day resorted to kill her before fleeing with several assets. It is believe that after killing the poor child, the maid buried the remains by cemented the body onto one of the walls.

 2nd Version : The rich family who was living there were robed and killed instantly. Nabila, the only child however, were raped and killed, and the body were cemented onto the wall. 

 3rd Version : The original name of the place is 'Christine Palace', and it was owned by a very rich caucasian businessman. While constructing the structure, the owner had promised his 6 siblings that he will divide the ownership of the land among them. However, when the structure completed, he didn't fulfilled his promise which had caused rage among the siblings. The heated disagreement had led to a killing event when one of the siblings sent a killer to take the whole family lives. They were brutally murdered and the villa had been left unoccupied for more than 70 years as the case is still unsettled.
