Chapter 32

Lynn's POV
I heard the car horn beep outside. I grabbed my things and I shouted Billy's name. He came running down the stairs and I walked towards the door. I grabbed my converse and held them in my hands as I ran outside.

I saw Ethan sitting in the driveway looking at his phone. I tried pulling open the passenger door but it wouldn't budge. I knocked on the window and Ethan looked up. He smirked once he realized that doors were locked.
"Open the door" I said. He pressed the button on the side of the door and I got in.
"Sorry love" He said and I closed the door.
"Love? Gross" I heard Billy say from the back seat.
"It smells back here" Billy said. I chuckled.
"Ethan's car is probably the dirtiest moving thing I've ever seen" I said. Ethan sent me a playful glare.
"You like my dirty car" Ethan said and smirked. I rolled my eyes. I heard Billy chuckle from the backseat.
"Gross, but nice one" I heard him say as we backed out.
"Could we stop at Starbucks?" I asked. "I guess" Ethan said.
"It's on the way"
"Fine," He said. I smiled as we pulled into Starbucks.

I got out but Ethan put down the window. He handed me a ten and I looked at him with my eyebrows raised. "What do you want" I asked.
"Nothing" He said.
"Billy do you want anything" Ethan asked.
"No thanks" He said. I turned around and walked towards the front door and someone almost hit me with it. But since I have cat like reflexes I avoided it.

"Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't see you there" A low voice said. It sounded familiar, too familiar. I looked up to see that guy from Aaron's party. What was his name? I don't think I should say something. It might not be him.
"Oh no it's okay," I said and smiled. "Oh my god, Lynn?" Yep it's him.
"Do you remember me? I'm Kian, from Aaron's party" I was right! It is him. "Oh right!" I said.
"Wow, its felt like forever. Hasn't it?" He said.
"Well the party was in the beginning of the year" I said and shrugged.
"Wow, how have you been?" He asked. "Okay, I guess. What about you?" I said.
"Good, still single but" He said and I chuckled.
"So what about you? Are you single?" He asked.

"No, she's taken" A voice from behind me said. I felt an arm wrap around my waist. I didn't need to look to know who it was.
"Ethan Dolab, wow man, good to see you" Kian said. I licked my lips and looked up at Ethan.
"Yeah..." Ethan said. I knew he hated Kian, ever since the party.
"So you two are actually together now? After he destroyed your heart?" Kian asked.
"I didn't destroy her heart, Kian" Ethan said.
"And why do you even care?" Kian looked at me, and then back at Ethan. "Because we're friends" I said and looked up at Ethan.
"We should go, we're going to see family at the hospital" I said.
"Oh, I'm sorry about your family member" He said.
"Thank you," I said.
"It was really nice seeing you" I said.
"You as well, hopefully we'll run into each other again sometime" He said and looked at Ethan.
"Ethan," He said and then walked away.

"You scared him off!"I said and slapped his hand off my waist.
"Ouch, hey!" Ethan said.
"It's not my fault that's he's a....scaredy  cat" He said.
"Thank you, for not using that language. And you don't have to be rude!" I said.
"I wasn't. He obviously likes you, I don't want him to steal you away from me" He said.
"We'll talk about this when I get back into the car. Don't leave Billy alone" I said. Ethan sighed and walked back to his car.

As we walked out of the elevator I saw people running past us.
"Geez, she could at least say excuse me" I said. Ethan grabbed my hand and I took a sip of my frappe.
"Seriously, if that Kian kid comes near you again I'll knock him six feet under" Ethan threatened.
"Hey, hey" I said and squeezed his hand. Billy chuckled from behind us. "What's your beef with him?" I said. "He's always talking to you" Ethan said. "It's not my fault I'm pretty" I joked with a smile.
"You're beautiful actually, but I know that it isn't your fault" He said.

We walked past the nurse's station and I wrapped an arm around Billy.
"We could be a family you know" I said. "Billy can be our child" I said.
"That means you would have had to have me when you were two..." Billy said.
"Yep, we can definitely be a family" Billy said sarcastically. I giggled and wrapped an arm around him.
"You could probably pass for a five year old" I said and smiled.
"Oh come on that's mean" Ethan said and laughed.
"And you can pass for a fifty year old so shut up" I said and pushed Ethan away. "You dig fifty year olds that are hot" Ethan said. I laughed and pushed him again.
"You're gross" I said.
"Hey you said it sweet cheeks not me" He said.

I smiled as I leaned on Ethan's shoulder.
"But we are going to get married" Ethan said.
"You were right about one thing"
"Hey I'm always right" I said.
"I know" Ethan said. I smiled.
"When are we getting married" I said. "How about tomorrow" Ethan said and tightened his grip on me.
"That sounds perfect" I said.
"You two are weird" Billy said.
"Tell me about it" Ethan and I said at the same time. We both looked at each other and had the same huge goofy smile on our faces.
"We could be twins" Ethan said.
"Okay now that's weird, I'm dating my twin plus you already have a twin." I said.
"Again, it'd be hot and pretend Gray isn't in the picture" Ethan said. I hit his chest and he chuckled.
"Did that hurt your hand" He asked.
"A little" I said and smiled.
"Because I have Pecs of steel" He said. I rolled my eyes but smiled. "You love my Pecs don't you" He said.
"No," I said and smiled.
"I do" Billy said. Ethan and I laughed. I love these two.

Another nurse ran past us and into the room straight ahead of us. My smile dropped from my face when I realized who room that was is.
"Wait isn't that...." Holy shit. That's my mom's room. I took off sprinting.
"Ly, wait!" I heard Ethan shout. I stopped before I walked in and turned around.
"You need to watch him" I said and pointed at Billy. Ethan grabbed Billy just before he could start running and I turned around and walked into my mom's room. There were about five doctors in here, all moving around. "Push ten of epic," I heard one of them say.
"Hey," I said. None of them turned around.
"Hey!" I shouted.
"What's going on" I said. They all turned around.
"You can't be in here right now" One of the nurses said.
"Yes, I can, I'm her daughter" I said and pushed her hands off me.
"What's going on" I repeated.
"Billy, wait!" I heard Ethan shout. I heard him run in and push past all the nurses.
"Kid, you can't be in here!" I heard one of the doctors say.
"Oh my god," I heard Billy say. I moved away from the nurse.
"Billy? You're here" I heard a mom­kind­of­voice say. My eyes widened. "Mom" Billy said. I pushed past the final doctor to find my mom, awake on the hospital bed.
"Ly, Billy," My mom said and smiled. I smiled back at her through my tears. Billy and I both ran to her and we both hugged her.
"Mom," I whispered and hugged her. "We've missed you so much" Billy said. She's awake....My mom's awake.
