On the next day Professor McGonagall told us about the yule ball after Transfiguration and insisted all of us to stay for the embarrassing dance lessons.

Well, hereby it was confirmed that everyone has to go to the ball.

Since then, as it seemed to me, everyone and especially all the girls only talked about the ball and giggled to death when a boy passed them. I really didn't like the idea of being asked out to a ball. It felt like I was sitting ducks!

And of course, me and boys, well, that was an own whole topic and book and the most dominating words would be shy, redden, blushing, nervousness and being stupid. But yet, I am willing happily to dance with Snape... or Remus.

Wait, what? Remus? What was I talking about??!!

Hermione was the only one who didn't talk about that at all and I was very relieved about that.

"You know, all this ball stuff," I said finally to her as we walked back to our common room. "It makes me feel sick and I won't go to the ball."

"Did someone asked you out?" I looked at her surprised.

"How do you know that?"

"Someone asked me out too!" She looked away and blushed.

"Who? Ron?" I asked excited and ignored that she didn't answer my previous question.

"I won't tell you." She grinned broadly.

"Hermione! I will tell you too!" But she shook her head.

"No. Only if you promise me that you will attend the ball." I crossed my arms grumpily and agreed.

"Fine. I will come to the ball."

Hermione looked satisfied.

"And you have to promise me two more things."

"What? Two more? Honestly, now I think you are lying to me. No one asked you out." She looked hurt but continued.

"Promise me you will help me in getting dressed for the ball." She looked hopefully at me. I nodded.

"And promise me, you won't tell anybody." I nodded a second time. Hermione smiled again.

"Galaxy, you promised me these three things."

"Yeah. I know! Now tell me!"

"Okay but you first." I rolled my eyes. Why was she making such a secret of it?!

"Alright, alright! A Durmstrang boy asked me. He is one year older than me and from Hungry actually. He asked me today, before breakfast when I was going up after my morning sports. He's actually really cute, not only because of his looks and accent, he told me that he watches me every morning doing my sports since they arrived." I smiled shyly.

"Maybe Snape was doing the same?" I dreamt.

"He sounds really nice. You definitely have to introduce us." I nodded.

"Now your turn!" I reminded her.

"Eer. He's -" She stopped suddenly.

"Now what, Hermione?" I asked annoyed.

"You will attend the ball. You will right?" I nodded and furrowed my eye brows.

"Well, then you will meet him in two weeks." She smiled superiorly and walked through the portrait whole into the common room.

I stood there in disbelief.

"Did she just outfoxed me?" I pursed my lips offended.

"That's the brightest girl in her age." I said to me and couldn't do anything else than to smile.
