I sighed as I walked back to my room after I finished eating. I always take a nap after break as I usually don't get much sleep during the night. As I lay down on the soft mattress, my eyes slammed shut and I was off in a deep, deep sleep....
*dream*
"Mummy will be back in a little while, sweety." A blond haired woman, around 22 years old, said as she walked back to her car.
"Okay, mummy. I love you!" said a little black haired girl, not more than 5, as she sat down on the grass, setting her teddy bear on her lap and wrapping her pale, thin arms around her knees. Her mother didn't respond. Nothing. No 'I love you to', no 'See you later sweetheart'. No words at all. The little girl stared as her mother drove away, leaving her to sit in the middle of a field alone. The girl was only wearing her nighty, socks and nothing else. She did not even have a jumper to keep her warm in the middle of a cold summers night. The child started humming to herself, humming a song that her mother sang to her when she was sad.
10 minutes pasted. No sign of her mother.
Another 10 minutes. The little girl was still sitting alone. She looked around, then stood up and called out:
"Mummy! You said you would be back soon!" No reply. "Mummy!" The girl shouted. She shouted and shouted until her voice was broken with sobs. She sat back down, her hair dampening as it started to rain. She ran to a tree where she sat down to try and stay as dry as she could. She decided to try one last time.
"MUMMY!" But it made no difference. She could shout and shout until her face turned blue.
Her mother was not coming back. She was alone.
The little girl sobbed as if she was in pain, her face in her lap. She slowly lifted her head, her turquoise eyes brimming with tears. With her last words before she fell asleep were;
"Mummy, you lied to me....."
*dream end*
I gasped as I woke up, tears streaming down my face and my throat burring. 'Same dream as always....' I thought as I wiped my tears away. I knew who this girl was. I knew who this woman was. But what I didn't know is why she left that little girl......why she left me. No one, not even my brothers, knew about my past. I am the only one who knows what happened to me before France and Spain found me. I cannot remember very much myself, but what I remember vividly, was my mother leaving me for death when I was 5. She left me, thinking that I would most likely die. But I was saved by my brothers. I love them both very much. They had taken me in, treated my like a sister even though they didn't know who I was or why I was alone. I was scared of them at first, but as I grew older, I knew they were my brothers and that I love them. I even got to meet some new friends because of them! My cousin, Brenenburg, and Canada. I loved them to, even though Canada was scared of me and still is. But, now, my friends came along, and I met Canada for a second time. I acted like I didn't know him, as it would make the other suspicious and ask how we met. I don't want them to know about my younger life, not until I feel ready to tell them.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Huh?" I got up and opened the door. It was Russia.
"Hello, Andorra." He smiled at me. I glared at him, but felt my face heat up and my heart flutter because of his beautiful smile. 'No, Andorra, be strong. No matter how much you care for him!'
"What do you want?" I asked coldly. He looked slightly hurt, but soon started smiling again.
"I came to see if you were ok...."
"I'm fine, now leave." I was about to slam the door in his face, but stopped when I felt a pair of arms around me, holding me close and hugging me tightly.
"Russia?! What are you doing?!?" He let me go and ran down the hall, leaving me to stare down after him, confused and happy at the same time. I shook my head, smiled and walked back into my room. As I lay on my bed, I started thinking.
"Maybe this year won't be so bad after all...." I said softly as I heard the bell ring for the last periods. I checked what I had. Biology, R.E and astronomy. I groaned and threw my time table into my desk.
"I can't be bothered to go to class!" I said, and collapsed on my bed again. After class we would be going straight back to our rooms, so I decided to bunk off and stay here. I need to catch up an sleep anyways. I changed into my pj's, got under my covers, and fell asleep...
