The reveal

Ladybugs's POV

It was late at night in Paris and I was on top of the Eiffel tower waiting for Chat noir to arrive for our nightly patrol. I was in deep thought. My heart was confused between two boys.

Adrien is a cute handsome boy, and a gentleman, so different from Chat noir but somehow... They're both so similar.

My heart was split into two. Who should I pick? Chat noir or Adrien? I have to admit that Chat brings joy and fireworks to my heart whenever he kisses my hand, and say those really lame puns. But Adrien... His kind words, shoulder pats, and compliments make my heart gives this really fluttery feeling I love.

"Ugh! WHY DID I EVEN FALL FOR THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE?!" I couldn't take it anymore.

"WHY CAN'T THEY BE THE SAME PERSON AAAAGGGGHHHH!!"

"Why can't who be the same person as who?" I turned around to see Chat noir leaning on one of the bars of the tower.

"It's nothing."

"C'mon m'lady, tell this kitty your purroblems," I shook my head.

"Why do you wanna know Chat?"

"Because this kitty can help fix his lady's problems," He did this really adorable idiotic grin and I laughed.

"I don't want to tell you Chat, not right now."

"Alright. I'll give you space, but if you wanna talk I'll be right here fur you," I smiled. Relieved that I have someone like him.

I walked over to him and touched his shoulder, "You're a great guy Chat, and I'm thankful for having you as friend." I saw his smile drop a bit.

"No problem LB I'm always here for you," I let his shoulder go.

After that we both remained silent looking at Paris for any trace of danger.

Chat noir's POV

'I'm thankful for having you as a friend?!' If I was Adrien, I would be glad hearing those words, but when it comes from ladybug I want her to see me more than just a friend. We stayed silent for almost an hour, looking at all of Paris.

I broke the silence a minute later, "LB, I was wondering if we could reveal our identities."

Ladybug faced me, "Chat, we've talked about this. I'm not ready to tell you my identity."

"I know we've talked about this, but if you won't tell me who you are now then when? When I'm lying down on a rocky pavement?! Bleeding myself to death?!"  I couldn't take it anymore I wanted to know who she really was underneath the mask.

I know it isn't right to force her like this, but I'm desperate.

"Chat don't say that! You are not gonna die as long as I'm alive!"

"Oh! So you're saying when you're already dead you'll tell me who you are?" I glared at her slightly. I don't really like yelling at my lady like this, but I have to understand why she doesn't want to tell me her identity.

"Ugh! No chat-"

Beep beep

Our transformations are wearing of.

"I have to go, and so do you," Ladybug was about to swing her yoyo but I grabbed her hand.

"Let me go Chat."

"No, not until I know who you are." She was silent for a moment until I heard soft sobs escape her lips. And I knew in that moment that it was the most heartbreaking sound I've ever heard.

"I don't want to reveal my identity because I'm afraid. Afraid that when you find out who I am under the whole ladybug costume you'll think of me as a nobody, a loser, then you'll leave me and find someone else worth your time."

My heart ached hearing those words. I pulled her closer to me and stroked her hair gently.

Ladybug's POV

I was sobbing in Chat's arms while he stroked my hair.

"There's no need to be afraid m'lady. I'm not gonna leave you even when I find out what your identity is. I love you too much to do that to you."

I hugged him tighter. For once, my heart knew where it belonged, and it wasn't with Adrien. I was ready to let Adrien go. He deserved someone better than me.

Beep beep

Our transformations were wearing of fast. I pulled away from Chat a bit. Just enough for our bodies to touch and also enough for our eyes to meet.

He leaned in and I did too. He pressed his lips against mine. They were soft and minty. Our kiss was sloppy, but full of passion. We both pulled away and looked at each other. Panting.

Beep beep

"I love you, chaton."

"And I love you, bugaboo."

We kissed once more. It was unlike the first one. This one was with confidence, so much love, and passion.

Beep beep

I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer to me.

Beep beep

We were both surrounded by a red and green light. Releasing us from our transformations. We pulled away from each other. Panting and trying to catch our breath. Both our eyes were closed foreheads touching.

"We're in our civilian form m'lady."

"We open our eyes on the count of three. One. Two. Three."

We opened our eyes ever so slowly. I was definitely surprised. Adrien my crush, is the one only Chat noir. They are both the same person. I smiled so wide my jaw ached.

Adrien's POV

My lady was Marinette. Adorable, sweet, and talented Marinette. I smiled like an idiot, so did Marinette. BUT SHE DIDN'T LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT. Oh god no, she looked like an angel that fell down from heaven.

"It's you. You're ladybug."

"And you're Chat noir."

I leaned in wanting to kiss her once more. Our lips touched.

"I love you Adrien" she murmured unto my lips. My heart was filled with happiness once I heard those words.

"And I love you princess."

"Finally time you guys got together," PLAGG! He just had to ruin the moment.

"PLAGG!" I scolded while Marinette just giggled.
