Longest day ever

"Nara. Nara!! Hey are you listening?" that was Myra trying to pull me away, braking my eye contact with the new guy. My mind was swimming by the time my friends pulled me into my class.

Shira looked me in the face frowning, "earth to Nara, we are in class remember?" I tried to order my thoughts and weakly smiled. "Sorry guys, it is just...never mind it's not important..." i trailed off.

"Well whatever it was, you looked like you saw a ghost or something like that!" Shira said looking concerned.

"are you sure your okay?" added Myra.

"the wolf," i whispered to my self.

"What did you say?"Shira said looking more worried.

"I said i am fine just reminded of someone," a certain wolf to be exact, but i didn't tell them that. i didn't tell them about the wolf at all and never planned to, they have enough going on in their lives.

"miss Wolff could you tell me who killed Queen Victoria?" Mrs Haxly asked and the whole class turned my way. I could feel my cheeks heating up. "No one, she died of a stoke," I replied glad my older brother told me i should study up on my history unit yesterday. Mrs Haxly raised an eyebrow and said "correct, now moving on does anyone know about her first son?"

I endured the rest of history but couldn't get the new guy out of my head. Was he the wolf? This had to be a simple coincidence, wasn't it? I decided to get as much information on him as i could off my friends.

They didn't know much only that he lives with foster parents; that he was a year older then us and that he hangs around Troy, the most popular guy in school. I have to talk to him this break, I wanna find out who he is and if he has something to do with that wolf.

I basically flung out of my seat and into the hallway. I had to stop myself from throwing everyone out of my way as i made for the lunchroom. He had to be in there. I burst through the door and stood there searching the room.

people looked at me like was someone who broke out of a mental asylum. I can't blame them I think i am going insane because when i see him i walk right up to table where he is sitting with Troy and his friends.

"Um can I talk to you?" I asked lightly blushing. Wow i am so bad at dealing with people. "I am sorry do I know you?" he asked with a confused smile on his face.

"Just go away Nara you weirdo," Angela hissed screwing her face up in disgust. "No one wants you here, just like your parent didn't want you" How dare she bring that up!! I forgot to mention that after i was born my parents went away and no one heard from them again, leaving me with my older siblings.

I almost punched Angela in the face but instead the new guy got up. Oh god i don't even know his name!! "It is okay just back down Angela I can make my own choices, I maybe new but I am not stupid," he said giving her a 'that wasn't called for' look.

"well that's good," she said rolling her eyes. He followed me away from everyone so I could talk more privately, "I am sorry this is a bit strange for me to act I mean normal I just stay around my friends and don't talk much," I'm unsure about what I should say. "I... err... sorry I am Nara but you probably would've guessed that. So um what's your name?" Just say calm, darn I should've planned this out.

"My name is Jay," he said smiling at how i was rambling. "Oh um nice to meet you?" Garr someone kill me now! That was so lame of me! How an i ment to ask him if he is the wolf? He would probably think i have lost my mind!

"Hey are you alright?" he asked. He must have notice how uneasy i was. "Yea i am fine," i say quietly. He knows something is up but accepts my answer. "Was there something you wanted to talk about?" he looked at me funny when he said it. "I think i saw you yesterday, on the edge of the woods. Was that you?" i said knowing this was the only way i could asked without him thinking i was mad.

"That was-" he cut himself off quickly and shook his head, "I meant to say that i wasn't anywhere near the forest, i didn't actually know that there was woods near this town." He was lying i knew he wouldn't tell me the truth. Well not yet anyway.

I would find out eventually. "Oh sorry i thought he looked like you when i saw you this morning, it must of been someone else, anyway I should go find my friends before they spam text my phone." i said walking away smiling "see you around". I left before he could say bye.

My friends got up me for running off but they wanted to know everything. They worry to much. I told them I forgot somethin in the lunchroom and wanted to get it before to many people where in it.They seemed to believe that and left me alone about it.

In the next class my teacher put Jay next to me. It was really awkward but we started to talk a little bit. He told me he was staying with Troy and his family. I didn't pry to much into his life, I know how it feels when people stick their nose in your business.

the rest of the day went too slow. I wanted to go home so badly, i wanted to see if the wolf would come again but i knew i would have to be patient.
