The world is too noisy...
Everything is so loud.
Crowds should be out and proud
But are they allowed in this world
Shrouded in darkness?
If you're queer dear,
Live in fear of those who hate and berate
It's impossible to escape the torment...
The torture...
Trapped inside the mind of a mad child
It's wild to think I'd sink so low
Though I know,
It's not.
My.
Fault!
Halt!
Stop,
Still...
Quiet...
Can you hear me?
Over the hustle and bustle of the world
We've been hurled head first into human existence
With the persistent insistence that resistance is futile
Crack a smile.
Or at least fake it.
Convince yourself you'll make it...
Stand up strong and take it!
Or cower...
I know you're scared...
He'll approach: teeth bared
'Who dared to be different?'
Who dared to be unique?
But you're not a freak, or weak...
It's time to speak out.
Can you hear me?
The world is too dark...
There is no light in the night,
Our sense of wrong or right out of the window
Long ago...
We used to know,
How to think and act
Now we're humans with no humanity,
Building cities just to tear them down to the ground
Around those who can't move
Stood stock still surrounded by sadness
And unimaginable destruction...
Ungrateful apes traipse across the poor planet
They inhabit, breeding like rabbits.
They strut
Acting like they own the place
They're not top of the food chain!
They're an insignificant dot,
On an insignificant rock,
In an insignificant spot of an ever expanding universe.
Don't let a dot, on a rock, in a spot bring you down...
You're stronger than them...
You're so.
Much.
More.
Can you hear me?
It's too late...
The damage can't be undone,
Nor the bullet from the gun...
The world is too cruel...
And I was a fool.
I thought you could be saved but I made such a mess.
But now you can rest...
Forever.
No more bullies,
No more torment,
No more anger,
And no more pain...
You escaped...
The noise, the dark, the cruelty.
As your final chapter ends,
And I close your book of life,
Now I know...
You couldn't hear me...
