Get Over It

Oh deary me,

What's happened here?

It would appear as though it's the end of the world!

Silly girl...

Now don't make a fuss!

You have to trust me when I say:

You must be joking.

What were you hoping?

Curses and slurs thrown by an army of those once trusted will hurt!

It burns.

Just because he's used to abuse

From those who are supposed to love,

Does not mean that being mean will make him take you back!

You won't wake up, it's not a dream

But that's no excuse to make his life a living nightmare.

It's not fair!

Get over it...

Get over yourself!

You think he 'broke your heart'

Yet you've torn him apart over what?

You knew full well that it was failing,

A ship - once sailing - now sinking,

What were you thinking?

You shot more holes in the boat,

Then cried for help as he tried tirelessly

To stay afloat.

He tried... He really did.

And the sticky ending,

That has long been impending,

Hurt him too.

Just because it fell apart doesn't mean he never loved you...

He wanted to love you...

He tried to let you down softly,

With less than a bruise

But you cut back, deeper,

Pouring salt in the wound through your friends,

Who were once his too.

He didn't want to lose you,

Let alone them too,

And now that you're through?

He's empty...

Riddled with bullet holes,

Calling for help merely to be ridiculed,

Because it's hilarious!

Isn't it?

I think I missed the joke...

Maybe it's because I'm civil.

Maybe because I know the battle he face.

Months of internal conflict:

Yes or no?

I love her, I don't?

Was it a waste?

He tried to be nice,

But you simply threw it back.

Rather than goodbye,

You told the suicidal man to die...

Why?

If you loved him so much,

Get over it...

Get over yourself!

I saw the pain on his face.

Harassed all night, then you're gone.

Without a Trace.

Do you ever get that feeling of Déjà vu?

Because right now it's true.

I've seen this before,

And I didn't want to see anymore,

But it's happening...

Betrayal...

Turn his defenses against him,

Forced to watch his walls self destruct.

Take away the people he cares about,

Until he's alone...

Isolated, hated, berated:

Endlessly tormented.

Nevertheless!

Despite the stress,

He doesn't care anymore...

As time passes he's no longer hurt.

In fact, he's loved,

By a boy who heralds him above all else.

He's over it.

He's over you...

He doesn't need the harassment,

Gaslighting,

Scapegoating,

Nasty indirects and gloating

Anymore!

He's unfollowing and unfriending,

He's found a happier ending.

He got over it...

It's time you got over yourself...
