third person pov
as soon as the message was sent, jieun immediately rushed to change out of her home wear. it was the first time she was going to see jimin in such a long time, and she didn't want to look bad in front of him. she changed into a light blue one piece dress and combed her hair neatly to remove all the tangles. before leaving the house, jieun took one last look in the mirror and saw that she had heavy eye bags. she quickly applied concealer and some light makeup to look brighter. slipping into white converse shoes, she locked the door behind her.
jieun spotted an empty bench at the park she promised to wait at. she walked over and sat down while waiting for jimin. her heart thumped crazily against her chest, so much that she had to take deep breaths to calm herself down. she was on cloud nine that she could finally be reunited with her loved one again. soon, after what seemed like eternity, she spotted a familiar figure seemingly walking towards her in the distance. tears began to well up in jieun's eyes unknowingly as he began to approach her closer. it really was him. she rose to her feet and with small steps, she walked towards him. nothing much had changed about him — his fashion sense was still the same, his face was still handsome as ever and he still had the same smile — well, except the fact that his once orange hair had became black now.
"jimin-ah... it's really you right?" jieun's voice trembled, "pinch me. tell me this isn't a dream."
jimin simply smiled and wrapped his arms around her, embracing her in a warm hug. people stared at the couple, judging them as they passed by. but right now, it was a blissful moment and the both of them couldn't care. after some time, jimin released the hug and cupped jieun's face with both his hands, wiping away the tears that never stopped falling with his thumbs.
jieun smiled before saying, "thank you... thank you for coming back to my side. do you have any idea how much i missed you?"
jimin remained silent once again, except that this time, he grabbed onto her hand and began walking. jieun looked down at their hands and looked back up at him. she still found this whole incident unbelievable and incredibly miraculous. how could someone literally just... revive from death?
"jimin-ah, uri jigeum eodi ga? (where are we going now?)"
"you'll know when we reach there."
soon after, the both of them arrived in front of a 3 storey building that looked quite grand on the exterior. it somehow seemed familiar to jieun, but she couldn't quite recall what this place was. a black, classy signboard at the entrance that read "studio one" immediately lit a bulb in her mind that it was where jimin often practised both his singing and dance at before he 'died'. it was also where he first asked her to be his girlfriend and where they often had dates at since he was forever busy practising, so it was a place full of memories.
jimin continued holding onto jieun's hand as they walked through the entrance, a cool breeze of air conditioner gushing at them. the latter shuddered a little and noticing this, jimin removed his leather jacket and placed it over her shoulders.
"thanks." jieun smiled softly.
they went down to the basement and jimin lead her into one of the studios. it was fully equipped with a sound system, mirrors and even individual work rooms where music could be produced. eunji remembered that he had told her before that he often practised with a group of friends which they named themselves bangtan. the studio seemed rather untouched and she recalled that jimin once mentioned that the studio which was his favourite and often practised at was on the 3rd floor.
"jieun-ah, i'll go to the toilet for a while. i'll be back soon."
jieun nodded in response, but it was only after a few minutes that the last four words of jimin's sentence rung in her head. she began to run out of the studio while clutching her firsts against her chest, for fear that the same incident might come haunting back again.
"eodi ya? jebal nal dashi ddeonajima... (where are you? please don't leave me again...)" she weeped.
