chapter 5:house party preperation

Skye pov

Me and grian reached my house. We sat on the couch and played super crab bros for a while. "Grian,I was thinking that because it's the start of a new academic year the we should have a house party to celebrate,how does that sound?" I asked him. He put down his game crab controller and said "That sounds great,we'll go to the shop and get food and drinks and text everyone invites". It sounded like the perfect house party. We wrote a shopping list before setting off:
Skye's shopping list
·oven-cook pizza
·oven-cook fries
·disco ball
·phone music amplifier
·bunting
·Colored lights
·beer/wine
·plastic cups/wine glasses
·Cake (why not?)
·crisps [thats chips for all you Americans]
·Anything else that we see in the shop that we might need.
It was a pretty lengthy shopping list but that was what we were buying. I had about ¥800000 from my parents when I moved into my own house so we had more than enough money to spend. We walked to the shop together and discussed who we wanted to come. "So theres yuki,chan,definitely taurtis and Sam,power dragon,j,not jts or dom,salex,silly,soul,sookie,majo Ellen,invader and hidden. Did I miss any?" I listed the people to invite. "No,that sounds about right. Why not jts or dom?" he asked. I told him jts was way too violent and that during summer break dom and I had been together and how it had been the worst month and a half of my life. He said that was fair and we walked into the shop. We bought everything on the list and some detergent and kitchen paper incase anyone had a bit too much to drink and couldn't make it to the toilet in time. As soon as we got home we started to organize. I put the pizza and fries in the oven,set up a drink station with the wine,beer and cups,put the crisps in a bowl and cake (pre-cut because I dont trust any drunk people with knives) on the table. It was a perfect food setup. Grian worked on the music,disco ball and lights. We hung up the bunting and sat down as we were extremely exhausted. "Now all we need to do is invite people" I said. We posted invites with names on instacrab,Twitter and snapcrab. Just incase they didnt see we texted them all to be on the safe side. We had about half an hour till it started and it was 5:30pm. Grian went to his apartment to put on his outfit and I changed into my blue dress and put my hair out of the ponytail. This was going to be the best house party ever.

Grian's pov

Upon reaching Skye's house,she suggested that we had a party to celebrate the new academic year. "That sounds great,we'll go to the shop and get food and drinks and text everyone invites" I said and we wrote a shopping list and set off to the shop. She listed all the people she thought should come and about half of the way through she said "not jts or dom". I asked her why and her reply was "In summer break I dated dom,it was the worst month and a half of my life. As for jts,I think he's just a bit too violent,especially as he has an axe. I don't really trust people with weapons to get drunk.". We entered the shop,bought everything we needed and some detergent too. "Just incase someone gets too drunk and pukes on the floor" Skye said. I can understand why she said it so sternly,I wouldn't want that on my floor either. The moment we reached her house we started preparing. She cooked and lay out food and drinks and I word on lights,music and the disco ball. We put up the bunting together and sat down. 5:30pm. 30 minutes until the party. We had already sent out the invites so I went to get changed. She kissed me goodbye at the door and I walked home. I went to my bedroom and looked in my wardrobe. All my party clothes were either tuxes or really scruffy jeans and t-shirts and I really wanted to impress Skye. Tuxedos were too fancy and I didn't want to look scruffy at all. I decided to just wear my classic red shirt and grey trousers. She'll like that i thought. I waited until it was time for the party and joined the gang of people walking through the streets,gathering up people for the party.
