I woke up feeling refreshed, there was no heaviness in my heart, I felt happy after so many years and it was all because I had got my best friend back.

All my happy thoughts were disturbed by the sound of my depressing ringtone, I thought to myself why did I keep this as my ringtone.

I looked at the screen and it was Nikhil. I answered the call

"Hey sweetheart, u completely forgot about ur boyfriend" he said

"hey nikki its not lyk tht I just landed two days back and there was so much work to be done here, I am sorry " I replied

"hmm u and ur work, so u got all settled in your old house? I am sorry I had to come to Chicago for an important meeting, I know this must be hard for you, u know ur parents house and all" he asked

"umm.. actually I am still in the hotel, I will be moving in there today only and I have a good news" I replied smilingly

"what r u pregnant or something? But that is not possible since we have not even kissed yet and for that to happen..." I cut him in between " stop it nikki you and your sick sense of humour" I replied in a little serious tone.

"what love, I was just joking, I can't understand why you always take my jokes so seriously and think of me as some asshole " he was angry now.

"hey I am sorry I didn't mean it that way. U know how I feel about all this stuff and I don't think of u as an asshole, don't ever think lyk that." I replied

"hmm.. so what was ur good news?" he asked

"actually I met an old friend.." I replied. There were some noises in the background

" hey sweety I got to go, they need me here, I will talk to you later take care, bye" he replied

Before I could reply anything the line ended. The first thing I did after that was change my ringtone to a more happier one.

I got my lay ass off the bed and took a nice long shower, got dressed in my fav. Ripped blue jeans and a black top. I called the room service and ordered pancakes and juice and told them to come after sometime to take my luggage to the car.

I was having my breakfast, when I got a text from veekay

What are your plans for today? I am free so I thought we could catch up

I replied

Good morning veekay, Actually I am moving in my parent's house today so will be busy with that.

After a few seconds I got a text from him
