I find it so amazing how God is so powerful and mighty like a father and yet at the same time he is so gentle and comforting like a mother.
This verse gives me the image of a mother holding her child in her arms during a thunderstorm.
God does the same for us.
A child will run into their mother's arms when faced with trouble.
It makes them feel safe, and maybe even forget why they are there in the first place. But they always know that whenever they are in trouble they can run to her and she will protect them.
Like a child with their mother, we should know that when we're in trouble, scared, lonely, sad, etc. that we can run into God's open arms and He will keep us safe.
