Ahhhhh. There's no place like home.

Since he woke up from the accident that happened few days ago, RJ felt relieved for the first time the moment he set foot inside their home.

There's always this weird feeling whenever he sees or hear anything about hospitals. Staying their for 3 days was even worst, much like a nightmare.

Being inside the hospital brings too many painful memories back to his head and his heart. Memories and emotions he fought hard to suppress. To forget.

But sometimes, it's really crazy how life play tricks on you. Some things will just keep coming back to haunt you.

RJ shake off the idea. It's been a long week and the last thing he need is to be reminded of the most painful part of his life. Their life. Right now, he needs a shower.

Baka bumaik ang katinuan ko at hindi maulit yung mga guni-guni ko.

He suddenly felt tired and his eyes are feeling heavy so he decided to move. He headed to his room and straight to the shower. He stood under the shower head and closed his eyes. When he started to feel the water run down from his head down to his body, it's weird to suddenly feel so tired.

He's planning to sleep for the rest of the day. Not that he liked what happened to him, but it's been a while since he had a day off. He needed this and he's gonna make the most out of it.

He finished his shower and decided to get dressed before getting out of the bathroom.

He opened the bathroom door and to his surprise - or probably to anyone's surprise - there is a petite girl standing right on the other side of the door.

"Hi!" The girl said with an annoyingly adorable smile on her small face.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!"

By instinct, RJ had to do what any normal human being would do. He shut the door to the girl's face.

What in the hell was that? His heart is beating so fast and he's shaking. He is slightly scared but moreover, he was simply surprised. He was so sure that it wasn't Riza because she wouldn't go barging into his room and wouldn't wait for him right outside the bathroom door. That's crazy!

He took deep breaths and he closed his eyes. He tried to absorb and analyze what is going on. Then it hit him! The girl looked familiar.

Nicomaine.

"Seriously? You just the shut door on my face. Stop acting like a scared cat. Get out of here. Hindi naman ako nangangain ng tao noh."

For the first time, he finally heard her say something more than just "Nakikita mo ako?". He knew he needs to go out at some point. She doesn't look like she's going anywhere. And so he did.

He slowly opened the door again, but she's not there anymore. He started walking and saw her sitting in the middle of his bed, looking like a bored little spoiled brat.

"Finally! Ang tagal mo ha!"

"Nicomaine?" Yes, I still can't believe she's here.

"The one and only. What's your name again?"

"RJ."

"That's not your real name. Hindi yan yung binanggit ni Tatay kanina nung pinakilala ka nya sa katawan ko." she raised her left eyebrow. Taray nito ah, he thought.

"Ah, Richard Faulkerson Jr. po. Okay na po?" He answered sarcastically and then faking a smile. He saw her raised an eyebrow again when his remarkable dimple showed up. Works every time.
