4:00 AM

"D... A... G... D... Ugh, mali! I suck!"

5:00 AM

"D... A... D... G... Nooooooo!!"

5:30 AM

"D... A... D... G... D... A..."

"Kuya, RJ. Please! Hanggang ngayon ba naman? It's 5:30 in the morning and in case you don't know, most normal people are still sleeping at this hour. Including me, Kuya! So, please! Give up the guitar. I can sing that same song in my sleep! Kagabi ka pa!"

Then Riza forcefully shut the door of his room.

He would love to ignore her sister's morning whining and continue what he's doing, but she's right.

It's already 5:30 in the morning and he should be getting ready.

Richard has been trying to learn the chords of a song for the past two days and it's been a struggle.

There's a reason he was a band vocalist.

Aside from having a fairly good singing voice, he sucked at everything else.

He's never played any instrument before.

He remember playing the piano when he was a little boy but it was barely a thing then. It was more like a kid trying to impress everyone around even though he obviously suck at it.

And now, he decided to learn the guitar.

He needs to.

He wants to.

When he's certain he's gone through the entire guitar cords of the song he's trying to play, he decided to get ready.

This is going to be a busy day.

He decided to wear a simple immaculately white polo shirt paired with black jeans and snickers. Simple yet presentable.

All good, Faulkerson.

After getting ready, he took his guitar then headed out to grab some breakfast first before going anywhere.

He saw his father having breakfast alone when he reached the dining area.

"Good morning, Dad!"

"Good morning, anak. Saan ang lakad mo?'

"Somewhere. I won't be long, be back soon."

"Okay, ingat ka."

He headed out of the door, with the car keys on his hand, he got into the vehicle he borrowed from his father's good friend.

Yes, he's driving again.

Everything needs to be perfect today.

2 hours and 30 minutes.

Smooth drive and he's finally arrived.

He took a right turn inside an exclusive complex.

Inside a very familiar place.

His favorite place.

The Inn at..

Cliffhouse Tagaytay.

"You've been here, Maine?"

"Yes, Coleen. I've been here."

"When? How?"

Long pause.

Maine closed her eyes, trying to think.
