Chapter 3
When I saw that annoying jerk smiled and smirked at the whole entire high school community and parade around like some sick boss, I have had enough. Once the assembly was over and everyone got back to their classes busy shoving people trying to get to the lift, I pushed my way and into the crowd I started searching for Dylan.
I finally found him talking to the vice principal with smiles and laughter. They are probably talking about a lot of things like sports or hobbies or perhaps maybe, stalking. As soon as I am in level with Dylan I politely excused myself for the inconvenience and disruption to Mr. Kevin.
“Excuse me Sir, may I talk to Dylan here, Alex wanted me to ask him if he is interested in joining the student council.”
He smiled at me and talked to me as if he knew who I was.
“Okay… Paige, good luck and could you probably remind Alex Chang if he would possibly mind giving a tour of the school since he is in his level. I would recommend you but you are still a junior therefore not accustomed to all the classes, subjects and tasks given to the students.”
I politely thank him and let him know that I would tell Alex everything and that he is sure to accept the request. After exchanging pleasantries I tug Dylan by his shirt and since he is a new student, he isn’t wearing the school uniform yet but the black from fitted shirt and jeans he was wearing is doing him justice.
I led him to the dark corner of the staircase and before making sure that no one is watching them, she quickly gripped the front of his shirt making them closer as it is. As we face each other both breathing deeply making their hearts beat faster we held our gaze. The penetrating stare of his emerald eyes with gorgeous golden flecks around the iris with my lavender blue eyes trying to and failing to glare at him to submission, once I gave up trying to win against the narcissistic brown haired billionaire I let go of him slumping to the ground with my head in my hands.
“Why are you here?” I said quietly trying to figure things out, making sense to everything.
“I am here because of you.” He said gently and quietly trying to comfort me in some sort of way without freaking me out.
As I got up and braved myself, I quickly slid my hands from my face cleaning it up and also getting out any excess tears that might have come out. I made my face strong and secure looking directly at him ignoring the feeling that was going on in my arms.
“Why are you here?” I said as I crossed my arms and bowed down my head, partially because I don’t want people staring at me and partially because I won’t fall prey to his eyes.
“I am here studying, a person needed to get some education to succeed isn’t it?” He responded with such a light manner and tone as if he isn’t a person following my every move.
“No, I mean why are you here in my school? It doesn’t make any sense.”
He gently cupped my face wiping off any tears I unknowingly made. As our eyes met, he responded with so much feeling that I just can’t help but feel the energy between us.
“I am here for you, when you said no to me in the hotel I was caught off guard. I don’t want to mess around with you, I don’t want to not be with you.”
“You are not making any sense Dylan. Now excuse me I have to go, I need to find my friends.” I dismissed him with a move by turning towards the stairs and heading down to go to my locker. I knew that it was loud and noisy with all of the students talking and laughing but I can’t help but hear the soft spoken words he had said when I turned my back.
“I want to be with you.”
I reached my locker and opened it with a sigh as I unload all of my things for Science. I met up with my friend of all time and President of the Student Council, Alex Chang. He was flirting with a couple of girls as I approached him and they disperse with hypnotic and sometimes offensive glares. Once he knew it was me, he stood up straight and wore a floppy grin on his face that is so darn cute that I just want to pinch his cheeks.
