book was returning home from school one day when he herd a voice that he hadn't herd in a long time he looked up and saw his mother his ears perked up as he ran to her and nuzzles up to her he has on the biggest smile he had had for a long time. his mother said "why so sad my son" he would look down "kids fear how i look i try mommy i try to be nice to them but i .... am i ugly mamma?" she would softly smile at him and say/sing "no my child as young ones they are wild they know not what they do its not because of you, you look handsome my son my love will show you the way but fear not for its only today." book smiled up at his mother as they walked inside to meet his father who like every day gave book a big hug and book gave one back they had diner and book was sent to bed  as his parent stayed up to talk. book woke up in the middle of the night needing some water as he past his parents room he herd his name and as any child he stopped and listened in and what he heard would drive him for the rest of his childhood  he heard. father "we need to cover him up so he looks normal " mother "but he is normal for him" father says "but parents have been saying his looks scare there foals near to death and they start to complain." he whispers " if he had wings this wouldn't be a problem." she yells at him "its not my fault he is an earth pony so don't take it out on me." book would look down tearing up he runs out of there home and went into the ever-free forest to hide but as he ran he found a cave to hide in he cried all night he kept looking at his back "stooped body why didn't you grow wings?" he would fall asleep there in that cave
