Cottenpaw sat in camp. She had not been able to go to the gathering. She felt jealousy burn in her fur as she thought of the cats from other clans she could have met. Moonpaw was alseep at the time but Sootpaw sat with his sister. She growled. "Come on! Let's leave camp and sneak to the gathering!" She poked Sootpaw "What do 'ya say?"
"But what if we get caught?" Sootpaw meowed.
"So what? And we're not gonna get caught," she growled.
"You can go but I'm not risking having a few extra moons of training." Sootpaw got up and walked back to the apprentice den.
"Fine!" Cottenpaw hissed and snuck out of camp.
Cottenpaw tried to follow the scent of other cats but had got lost. Suddenly she smelled cats. Oh no!I'm gonna be in so much trouble! She thought. But instead of Deerstar Ravenwing stepped out. "Dad!" She ran up to him but he stared at her with anger flashing in his eyes. "Cottenpaw! Why'd you run off! What if a fox or badger came?!" he shouted. "I.....I'm sorry," she whimpered. "I'm sorry for yelling it's just the that..I lost your mom and I don't wanna lose you.." He licked her head. Then he grabbed her scruff and padded back to camp.
Deerstar saw Cottenpaw and flicked his tail for her to come to him. She trotted over "Yes?"
"You must have a punishment. Yours is 3 more moons of training."
Cottenpaw hissed. "Fine!"
