Joie has been training in the army for over a year now, but is still shocked when she is told she is about to be sent to Camp Bastion in Afghanistan. With no time to say goodbye to her friends and family or even consider what she is about to travel into, Joie finds herself on a plane to Afgan with her new team, Two Section. She later finds her ex boyfriend Theo is part of her section. Her leader, Captain Charles James doubts her competence as a successful army soldier. Thrown into the dangerous Taliban War, Joie has to fight not only to prove herself, but for her life.
