The Hidden Angel

Chapter Four

"Mommy where are we going"? My little girl said to me as she pulled on my pants leg. I finished zipping up my last suitcase and then knelled down to Angel's level. I looked into her bright brown pouty eyes. 

"Baby, we're going on a trip". I sweetly said to her. Her eyes lit up. "In our favorite rocket ship"? She asked joyfully as she jumped up and down.

I laughed at her. "No sweetheart. We're going out of town for a little while". I said as I rubbed her arms up and down.

"Oh. How long will we be gone"? She asked.

"I don't know yet sweetheart". I calmly said. This is gonna be tough. She hasn't seen her dad yet, and this is the first time she will be seeing him. 

"Hey, our cab is here". Heaven said as she came in. I nodded my head and Heaven took Angel's hand and escorted her downstairs.

I ran a hand through my hair frustratingly. I can't believe I'm about to see the man that I haven't seen in seven years. What's bad is that he doesn't even know that he has a daughter! Unless Sebastian didn't keep his mouth shut. This is gonna be interesting.

"E! Hurry up"! Heaven shouted from downstairs. I groaned while attempting to get my traveling bags  together and eventually heading out the door.

On our way to the airport I thought about a million things that could go wrong. Him seeing me for the first time in a while, how he's gonna take the news, everything! It's exhausting to think about and it's giving me a splitting headache. 

About thirty minuets later we arrived at the airport and soon enough, we were on the plane in no time.

As soon as I got Angel seated on the airplane, I fell asleep.

~12 Hours Later~

I felt a nudge on my shoulder so I fluttered my eyes open to see who could be waking me up. Immediately I saw my little girl with her big bright smile. She looked so much like her dad, it's scary.

"Mommy, we're here! You gotta wake up now". She said in her cute little childish voice. 

I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face. "Okay baby, thank you for waking me up. Where's Auntie Heaven"? I asked her.

"She went to the bathroom, she'll be back soon". She told me. I stretched out my arms and legs as best I could. 

"Attention flight attendants and passengers we will be landing in Milan, Italy in just a few minuets. Please buckle your seat belts for landing. We thank you for choosing American Airlines as your travel for today". The Pilot said on the intercom. 

I buckled Angel in her seat and then Heaven soon appeared from the back of the plane. She to buckled in and then we landed.

"Wow, it's so pretty here. What's this place called again"? Angel asked as we were waiting for a cab to pick us up.  

"It's called Italy, kid". Heaven said as she put on her sunglasses. 

Finally our cab came and it took us to our hotel. I payed the cab fair and we all checked in. 

"Room 318 ma'am, enjoy your stay". The nice clerk lady said to me. 

I flashed her a smile. "Thank you". And we all went to our rooms.

It took some time, but we managed to get all of our things settled in. The three of us plopped on one of the Queen sized beds and sighed. 

"Mommy? Auntie Heaven? What are we doing here"? Angel asked us. Heaven and I sat up on the bed looking at her. We looked to each other and I let out a big sigh.

"Um. Sweetheart? You know how sometimes you ask about Daddy and I tell you to not worry about him"? I ask her.

She nodded her head and let me continue. "Well, Daddy lives here, in Italy. And we're gonna see him". I explain to her. 

Angel stared at me for a few seconds and spoke up. "So....I do have a Dad"? She asked me. My heart broke. I didn't mean for her to feel like she didn't have a Dad, but what was I suppose to say? I can't state the obvious to a seven year old, especially if it's MY seven year old.

"Awe kid, come here". Heaven politely instructed and Angel scooted closer to Heaven and I.

"Listen....it's very complicated to explain to you what happened to mommy and daddy when you where born, okay? We promise to explain it to you when you're a little bit older". Heaven told her, but all she did was nod her head. 

"Just know that mommy and auntie love you very very much and we wouldn't let anything happen to you okay"? I said to her. She smiled and then nodded her head.

"I love you guys to". She said. She stood up and kissed both of us on the check and we returned the gesture. 

Soon, their was a knock on the door and my heart sped up. I got up and looked through the peep hole and I couldn't believe my eyes. The person who I haven't seen since I left this place. I cracked the door open just enough for him to see me, and there I saw those familiar striking blue eyes. 

"Eternity". He said.

"Sebastian". I said back.
