(Picture of Arabella up top)

Angel looked confused and distraught. She looked up at me and spoke. "Mommy, I have a daddy"? She asked mono-toned.

I ignored her question and kept my eyes on August. All he did was stare at our creation in awe. He lowered himself to Angel's level and gently placed his big hands on her petite shoulders. Angel looked at him shyly, and then smiled.

"Angel"? He spoke softly, as if he was going to cry.

She hung her head nervously and nodded her head. "That's my name. Are you really my daddy"? August didn't know what to say. He nodded, and for the first time he brought her in his arms and hugged his daughter.

Tears welled up in my eyes but I dared not to let one fall. August stood up and looked me dead in the eyes with sorrow and regret.

"I have a daughter". He whispered. I nodded at him and ordered Heaven to take Angel up stairs to the kitchen. Sebastian followed.

Once they were gone I turned back to August and spoke. "Look I'm only here cause"-. but he cut me off.

"Why didn't you tell me that you were pregnant"? He asked slightly irritated.

I looked at him in confusion at his change of behavior all of a sudden. "Because you left me before I even got the chance to tell you. I was going to tell you that day, but you left a note". I said sternly. There is no way he could be mad at me because I didn't tell him. Besides in my defense, he didn't deserve to know about Angel. He left me. And that was it.

He grew upset by the passing seconds, and soon he found himself pacing back and forth, getting angrier. "I don't understand why you're so upset. You left. It was your fault"! I shouted at him in anger. He stopped and stared at me with pure rage.

"I left to protect you"! He yelled even louder than me.

"Which wasn't your decision to make. I could've been beside you. Fighting with you. Defeating them. And you didn't give me that option. You took the chance from me"! I paused to take a breath. Now tears were streaming and my vision stayed blurry. "We were partners.....lovers.....but you didn't care". I finished. I covered my teary face with my hands and sobbed.

He stayed silent. Probably lost for words now that I have told him what was really on my mind for the last seven years. August took a few steps closer to me and wrapped his toned arms around my frail body. I laid my head comfortably against his shoulder and let my tears flow down onto his white T-shirt. I hated him. But somehow at the same time I still loved him. Loved him because I need him, but hated him because I wanted to, for what he did to me.

"I'm sorry Eternity". He said against my hair. I didn't know what to say. Should I forgive him and we go back to the way things were, with Angel in the picture? Or should I ignore our mutual never-ending growth of love that we have for each other, and set out what I came here to do, to help him, for the sake of our child?

I sighed and pulled away from him. As much as my heart desires to, I can't go back to him. It'll be too messy, too risky, too dangerous. If I go back to him. Angel would be tied into are dark past that is rapidly catching up to us. I don't want her to live that reckless life. That's not who she is. But it's what her parents are.

"August. I know you're sorry, but"-. And again, he cut me off.

"Eternity you don't know how sorry I am. When I left you I thought it would keep you safe. I wanted you to be safe. I had to make a decision to leave. But believe me. I didn't want to. But because I loved you, and still do, I needed to let you go. You know I love you". He explained.

I looked down. "August. We can't go back to the way we were. I came here, because Sebastian told me that you guys are in some serious trouble. And if you are in that much trouble then you know exactly what we need to do". I told him.

He huffed and ran his slender hands through his silky hair. "I know. But how. We don't even know who to go to first". He said. He had a point.

"Well we have to start with Julian. He was like a second father to us. Maybe he can help us". I suggested.

We heard a door creak and our little angel came in sight. "Mommy. I'm hungry. Is there a McDonald's here"? Angel asked in her sweet soft voice.

I chuckled at her and walked over to where she was and picked her up. I then walked backed to where August was. "Well. Is there"? I asked him. He smiled and stared at the both of us.

"Well,  I know a place that is much better than McDonald's". He sated.

Angel gasped. "What? Better than McDonald's?! That's crazy talk. Nothing is better than McDonald's". She claimed. August and I laughed at her and he stepped a little closer, supporting her back with his one hand.

"It's a place where I used to take mommy out all the time. She loved it". He said as he glanced up at me.

She laughed. "You have a funny voice". She said.

He chuckled once more. "That's because I'm Italian. I was born and raised here in Italy". He told. It's nice that he's sort of bonding with his daughter.

Angle looked up at me. "Mommy, I like my daddy". She said before she squirmed out of my arms and warped her tiny arms around August's neck and he caught her. She dug her head in his neck, I couldn't see, but I could tell she was smiling. August looked frightened for a minuet by Angel's actions, but finally smiled, and then laughed.

"Yeah, I like him to, kid". I said under my breath. August must have heard me because winked at me. I rolled my eyes and suddenly Heaven came running down the garage steps.

"Hey guys. I know you're catching up and all, but you might want to come and see this." She spoke frantically.

With Angle in his arms, August followed me to the living room. And there we saw. Black, grainy, musty smoke covering the window. It was like a snow blizzard, only black. You couldn't see anything past the blackish covered cloud of smoke as it engulfed what seemed to be the entire outside of the house.

I gazed in horror, because I knew what was about to follow. "Kyros looks like he's in town". Sebastian commented.

"We've got to get out of here". August rushed. He sat Angel down and ran into his room, but before he left I stopped him.

"Where do you suggest we go"? I asked.

He smirked. "We're going to go meet Julian in Great Britain". He finished.

And so. Our dangerous journey begins.

A/N: hey guys, I know this chapter was a little short, but I had to build up the plot in order for it to make sense. Promise you that the next chapter will be a lot longer. But what do you think of the book so far? Comment and please vote. Thanks guys! ~N
