Chapter 7; Running Away

"We slept together last night then?" I ask Luke with a light laugh. He nods. "Yeah" he laughs. "Hey Luce, I was thinking..." he turns to me, serious. He's so cute omg. Ok be serious Lucy. "What about?" I ask. "You" he says, "your amazing. And beautiful...inside and out. Lucy, I...I think I might...I might be..." he stutters. "Luke I-" he cuts me off by kissing me softly. At first I'm surprised and I think I'm going to pull away, but somehow I find myself kissing back. It's weird, I feel sparks. His kiss is so soft and loving. After a while, we pull apart and he smiles at me. I smile back but look down. Oh God what did I do?! I'm not ready for this. I can't. "Luke, I'm sorry...I just...I can't. I'm sorry Luke. I love you as a friend but I just can't" I say, and I find tears falling down my face. "Lucy I'm so sorry-" I don't hear anything else as I run. I run out of the house, down the street, just running. Letting my feet take direction. Just running to nowhere in particular. I just need to get away.

Oh shit what have I done?! I go downstairs to see Beau and Jai in the living room, 'The Middle' by Jimmy Eat World playing. "Hey did you see where Lucy went?" I ask. "She just ran out" Beau says. "Is something wrong?" Jai asks. They both look at me, concern on their faces. "We need to find her" I say. "I'll drive" Beau says, getting up. "I'm coming" Jai says. I nod and we go out into the car.
