There once was a star who shone so brightly who loved the moon. Every night she'd shine her brightest to impress her love. She stretched out her rays and thought of her and the moon together. It made her happy and glow.
The moon never noticed he star. He was too busy lusting over his love, the sun. They could never be together, but the moon didn't know that. He never saw his admirer the star.
The star would wish that they could be together, but as long as the moon was blinded they could not. She wished and wished, just like the millions of people that looked to her at the crack of dawn to wish for themselves. That is the story of the wishing star.
