Dean skipped work for two days. Anna did not know who Cindel was. However, she knew quite a few girls played and usually used the VR booths in the Computer Science building. He spent hours there. It was to no avail. Most of the girls looked at him as if he was crazy. It was getting late in the day, so he decided to give up. On the way out, he saw Cindy's roommate walk in the room. He could not remember her name.

"Hello Dean! Fancy seeing you here. It's Meg, remember? From the cafeteria."

"Oh, right. I was just leaving," he said.

"What's wrong?" Meg asked.

"I was looking for a girl that plays Future Fantasia. But no luck."

"As it just so happens, I play."

"What class are you?"

"Sprite."

Dean sighed. "Sorry, you're not who I'm looking for."

"What class is the person you're looking for?"

"Elf."

"Oh, one of my other roommates is an elf. She should be here any moment. I can keep you company while we wait."

Dean did not like the idea of hanging out with that girl. He did not get a good vibe from her. He sensed tension between her and Cindy. That made him uneasy. Meg kept trying to commandeer his attention, but he barely paid attention to what she was saying.

"Oh, here she comes," Meg said. "Dean, this is Isabel. Of the three of us, she's the only elf."

"Hello. I hope I'm not being too forward," Dean said. "What is your screen name in Future Fantasia?"

"Bella154," Isabel replied.

"I'm sorry, you're not who I'm looking for either," Dean said.

He left the girls standing there. If they said anything else, he did not hear it. What a relief that it was not one of them. He knew girls like that his whole life. They treated people horribly. He was not interested in anyone like that. Maybe the rest of the clan would give him one more day to look for her. On the way out, he spotted Cindy in the common room. Once again, she was sitting all alone. He had not seen her since the day in the cafeteria, so he decided to say hi. He also knew her computer was in the store for repairs, but it looked like she had it back.
