I stood for a second, my breath caught in my throat, my brain overflowing and obviously overwhelmed by confusion, everything was already happening so fast today. It wasn't snowing hard anymore, instead it was light and now beautiful.
"My apologies" he said, his warm thumb gracefully running over my frozen knuckle. "My name is Rock Lee!" The boy said with confidence and a smile.
I was so dazed by the moment i hadn't even noticed Sasuke by Sakuras side, he huffed and spoke low under his breath "This is stupid..".
I could see Sakura gulp out of the corner of my eye as she obviously heard Sasuke and shuffled closer to me. She put her hand on my shoulder for reassurance and looked down at Lee cunningly. "She's shy, can't you see? you've embarrassed her".
My eyes quickly widened and I hurriedly moved my free hand in a motion basically signaling "No it's okay". I inhaled sharply, i appreciated Sakura speaking up for me but she was wrong, i wasn't embarrassed- i was completely and totally caught off guard.
"Hey listen, i appreciate this and all, i'm not embarrassed! i'm just taken back by this". I lifted my free hand up to my head to facepalm, i sounded so awkward.
Lee then nodded and kissed my knuckle before standing up and letting go of my hand. Once again, silence took over for a brief moment before the boy began to speak again. "Y/N, Please be my significant other, I vow to protect you with my life!" He placed both of his hands on my shoulders, brushing one of Sakura's off and keeping a firm hold.
It dawned on me. This kid does not know how to flirt. Sakura began giggling out of surprise and now Sasuke was the one facepalming.
"Can we be friends first?" I asked with my eyes shut tightly. How do I even deal with this? this isn't even surprising me anyone, now i'm just getting secondhand embarrassment.
His grip loosened as he let go of me and dramatically spun in a circle. "Sure!" He said loudly. "Guy Sensei would be so proud of me! I am becoming youthful!" ╰(✧∇✧╰)
