Second Chances

Chapter 1: The Wreck

"Dad are we leaving yet?" He nods, "Yes sweetheart. Let's go." I then grab my stuffed horse and we leave to go out for dinner. As we are coming around the first major turn mom tries to miss a deer. She does, but rolls the car in the process and I'm ejected from the car about 30 feet, and am knocked out instantly as I hit the ground.

                                                               4 hours later: Tanisha's P.O.V

            I wake up to the sound of beeping noises and pain in my right leg. I look to see my dad sitting next to me, "Dad? Is that you?" He looks up, "Yes Tanisha it's dad. You're in the hospital." I frown, "I know, but where's mom? I want to see her." He frowns, "Mom's dead sweetheart. I miss her too." I tear up, "I wanna go home! NOW!" He sighs, "You can't go home sweetie. At least not yet. You have to stay here another three days." I turn away from my dad, "Go out please. I need to be alone. Also hand me my purse before you leave."

            Dad sighs and hands me my purse before exiting the room and shutting the door. I look to see if he is actually gone and he is and I take out my pocket knife and do it. I cut again... I know I shouldn't do it, but it's one of the only ways to take away my pain. After a few cuts I put the knife away and bandage my wrist up before covering up and going to sleep since I am tired from all the stress and pain in my leg. I do have a peaceful sleep for once that my mom was here and seeing me ride my own horse and winning my first  barrel racing competition and getting first place.

                                                          5 hours later: Tanisha's P.O.V

            I am watching  tv and all of a sudden my friends Ashlyn, Cami, and my girlfriend Ashlee (pic at end of chapter) burst into the room. I look and smile, "Hey guys. I thought I'd never be happy to see you guys." Ashlee walks over, "We would never forget you babe." She kisses my cheek and lays down with me. "Careful Ashlee. My leg is injured." I show them my leg and they all frown and Ashlee is almost in tears, "Oh my god Tanisha! Is my cupcake gonna be ok?" I nod, "Yes Ashlee, I'm gonna be just fine. I just have to stay here the rest of the weekend. Y'all wanna stay here with me? If you can't that's fine." They all smile, "We're all staying and having fun this weekend." I smile, "I knew I could always trust you guys. But it can only be you three at max in this room." Ashlee smiles cheekily, "Ok babygirl, we will be back in 20 minutes. I love you." I kiss her, "I love you too babe. Hurry back."

            "Will do Tanisha." They leave and my dad walks into the room, "Hey sweetie. How you feeling?" I look at him sternly, "I'm fine dad. Ashlee, Cami, Ashlyn and I are wanting some alone time this weekend while I'm in the hospital. Is that ok?" He looks at me with a sad, but happy look on his face, "Of course Tanisha. Now nothing stupid. You know the rules." I roll my eyes, "Dad I get it. I haven't done anything stupid. The only thing I have done is gotten a girlfriend and made out with her and you know it." He looks at me sternly, "Ok sweetie. I love you and have a good time." He leaves and I sigh, "Finally he leaves."
