Loren's POV

I saw Max slowly wake up from the back seat. He asked where we were going. I answered and said "we are going to go school shopping." I felt bad for what i did back at the house but i didn't mention it. " There was another surprise after school shopping. we are going to see my dad for the first time in 10 years. My parents divorced and now my dad has a new girlfriend.

I have been begging my mom for months to go see him. She wasn't down for it but she figured max wanted to see him. My mom nudged me on the arm and whispered "Please apologize to your brother. "I look in the back of me and he was sitting there staring out the window with a little sigh on his face. I said "I am really sorry that I hurt your feelings..." Suddenly his whole face lit up like a lightbulb and he said "it's totally okay it's just I miss dad so much."

And that's good that we are now going to see him. I turn back around and enjoy the rest of my car ride. We get to the store and he jumps out the car and starts walking towards the entrance. I can tell he was really excited to go school shopping. He runs straight to the school section. I walk slowly towards the art section, my mom usually just gets my school supplies. I just got a lot of money from my summer job. I worked at Charming Charlie's. I mean it was a decent job for the summer.

I saw in the corner of my eye the kid I used to date in 10th grade. He was a total jerk. All he did was talk about himself or how hot other girls are, so before I graduated we broke up. He walks up to me and says "hey haven't seen you in a while." I stare for a couple of seconds then I reply back and say "yeah, nice to see you." He seemed very upset but I have moved on and I said I have to go."

I walk to the card section which was an isle away from the art section and I wait for him to walk away. It took him 10 minutes to walk away then he finally walked away with some paints and some paintbrushes. I went right back to the art section. 2 minutes later my mom called me and told me she got everything so we met up at the cash register. I was so excited to get out of there so we can go home and I can chill.

The car ride was pretty boring so I am not gonna talk about it. I go home and I went right upstairs and jumped on bed and plugged my phone right in and chilled. Suddenly I get a text from a phone number that says I blocked it. The text said"I still love you!!" I don't feel for him anymore. He was a crazy psycho and an abusive boyfriend. I have this crush on a kid named Evan. They both liked each other but they would rather much be friends.

I got another text but it was just from Evan. He asked if we can't go out to eat together. He recommended a place like something fancy, right away I thought of Jurin. It's a Japanese restaurant where they cook your food that you ordered right in front of you. I texted him back and said "how does Jurin sound" he right away texted back and said "sure why not, what time?" I thought and said I will make reservations for 7:00 tonight. And it was currently 6:00 so I right away called Jurin and asked for a reservation of 2 people. They said they have open reservations. So I instantly went right to my walk in closet and grabbed a pair of cute white sandals with rhinestones on it and a red short dress. I put that all on my bed.

I went to then bathroom and I tried different techniques, I tried to contour my face and neck, put on a pinkish reddish lipstick, tried wing eyeliner, brown eyeshadow, and lots of mascara and it turned out pretty decent. I was really excited! I turned on my curler and let it heat up, in the meantime I went to my room and grabbed my clothes and put them on. I made some cool little bouncy curls, I called him then I told him I was ready to go to Jurin. The drive was a goof 10 minutes away. The car ride was very awkward because all we talked about was dogs and cats. When we arrived he opened the door for me and followed right behind me.

The guy that worked there led us to our tables and we sat down. "What would you like to drink?" We both got a kitty cocktail. The guys was amazing who was cooking in front of us. I had such a fun time with him it was unbelievable!
