"Time to wake up, Lady Corrin!"

I opened my eyes to see my retainers Flora and Felicia.

"Hey, wake up, Lady Corrin! Up and at 'em!" Felicia shook me awake. In the room with them were Jakob and Gunter, two of my other retainers.

"Hrmmm... What are you talking about? It's still dark outside." I mumbled, my voice weary with sleep.

"Listen well, Princess. It may be dark, but it is indeed morning. You have practice today." Gunter told me.

"I have taken the liberty of readying your armor, and, er, pounding out the dents." Jakob said, "Your brother is a fearsome opponent, is he not?"

"Ugh. Fine. I'm still not completely awake though..." I looked up to have my face engulfed by my dark pink locks.

"Oh, we can help you with that! Felicia, would you please assist me?"

"Sure thing!".

My retainers pressed the palms of their hands to my face, and let icy blasts hit my skin.

"Waauuugh! Cold cold cold! I'm awake! Totally awake now!"

Flora spoke, "That's how we deal with slugabeds in the Ice Tribe!"

I sighed, "Trust me, I know" I started up once more, "I wish I could have finished the dream I was having though..."

Jakob spoke up, "Interesting . Do tell-what kind of dream was it?"

"It was...strange. Some people who looked like Hoshidans kept calling me their sister. But all of my brothers and sisters are here in Nohr..."

"Ah, Lady Corrin" Flora piped up, "perhaps we should talk about your dream another time?"

"It's time for you to get going, milady. Prince Xander is waiting for you!" Felicia said.

I picked myself off my bed and exited the room, the others filing behind me.

On the roof of the towers, I fought with Xander using the practice swords he had brought. I swept around and swung and sliced, but could barely manage a scratch on my elder sibling, while he on the other hand, was able to knock me to my knees.

"That's our sister for you. You won't beat the strongest knight in Nohr by sleeping all day, Corrin." Leo told me.

Xander spoke, "Giving up so soon, Corrin? I expect more of you. You are a princess of Nohr! Pick up your sword and try again."

"But, Xander, I-"

"We train like this so we can defend ourselves from our enemies. Father has been tracking your progress. If you can't land a hit on me today... he may never permit you to leave the Northern Fortress. Ever."

"What?! D-did he really say that? That's insane!" I felt anger start to build up inside of me as my grip tightened on my sword.

"Motivated, are we? Then use that fire to best me in battle, little Princess. If you would see the outside world beyond the view of your window, defeat me. Prove that all of the time I've devoted to training you has not been in vain!"

We walk to separate sides of the tower.

"The first move is yours, Corrin. Come at me when you are ready."

I planned my assault carefully, I moved forwards to try a slice Xander's armor.

"You swing timidly, without resolve. You must genuinely try to kill me."

I leaped into the air, doing a front flip with my sword drawn, striking at his armor. He retaliated and drove forward slicing at my own armor.

I was panting, from the wound that I received
