Welcome back to the blog, fellow bookworms! Today, I will reviewing the book My True Love Ghost, by julietlyons.

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Summary:

"When Angeline first meets handsome, well-mannered Tom one afternoon in the derelict wing of a stately home, she is filled with the inexplicable sense that somehow they've met before.

"But nothing can prepare her for the shock when she realizes why no one else at the house has ever heard of him -- Tom is dead, and has been for one hundred years...

My Thoughts on the Story:

Beautiful. That's the first thing that comes to mind. This story was so incredibly beautiful, especially on the emotional level. The end had me sobbing like a child, and that's usually pretty hard to do, as I tend not to get overly emotionally attached.

The plot was outstandingly well-written and elaborate, yet simplistic enough to keep you grounded. The characters are easily relatable, but each is unique in their own way. I found myself imagining myself in Angeline's place as she unraveled the mysteries surrounding the easily hundred year old estate she and her mother had moved to, and the connections it had to the spirit boy, Tom.

The romance of the story especially impressed me. It was very well developed, slow enough to be believable, yet quick enough so as not to bore you. It had me gripping the edge of my seat, on the verge of shouting, "Omg, just freaking kiss already!" And, at the very same time as all of the side plots are going on, I fell in love with Tom right along with Angeline, and I cried right along with her after an excruciatingly unexpected plot twist towards the end.

Despite the feels, and there are feels, the end is entirely satisfying, but only just enough to leave you with that familiar ache in your heart when you finish a wonderful book for the first time. Truly beautiful, and I highly encourage you to read it.

Also, as a side note, if this story ever gets published, please please PLEASE let me know! My bookshelf is literally my trophy case, and I would display this book with pride!

~Peace~
