It was a normal day at school for Maka Albarn. She was trying to get a mission to complete, but they were all taken. "What are we gonna do Soul?" Said Maka. "I don't know... I think we should just chill at home." Soul remarked. Maka was getting kinda mad. She hated when Soul would do this (even though he did it all the time). "Soul, will you please be a little more serious? We need to collect all 99 of our keshin souls! Remember what happened last year? You saw witch Blair naked in the tub and made us loose all of our 99 souls." Maka said, trying
to sound confident, but only made her sound even weirder. "Chill out," Soul said, "It's not that big of a deal... it's the beginning of the year. We still have time." As Maka tried to speak, right behind her, "Hey guys! What's all the commotion about? Is everyone excited that i'm here? Well... tell them to get there cameras out, because..." Said Black Star, though he was interrupted by his partner, Tsubaki. "Calm down, Black Star. I think all the commotion is about someone getting their partner turned into a Death Sythe! Everyone has been talking about it." As Maka looked around to try to see who it was, she remembered, "Oh no!!! I forgot! Lord Death wanted to see us right after class! Come on Soul!" Soul ran right behind her, though he didn't really care if they were late, as usual.
