Pulling up to the padlock, my eyes were trained at all the construction work that was going on around it. Taking note that they were making the walls around higher. Wondering what type of dinosaur did they make in the lab.

"We've been pre-booking tickets for months." Claire started as she drew my attention back to her. "Our shareholders have been patient but let's be honest...no one is impressed by a dinosaur anymore. Twenty years ago, de-extinction was right out up there with magic. These days, kids look at stegosaurus like an elephant from the city zoo. That doesn't mean asset development is falling behind. Our D.N.A. excavators discover new species every year. But consumer's want them bigger, louder, more teeth. The good news? Our advances in gene splicing have opened up a whole new frontier. We've learned more from genetics in the past decade...than a century of digging up bones. We have out first genetically modified hybrid."

Owen and I both was speechless, it was Owen who finally broke the silence. "You went and made up a new dinosaur?"

"You went and made up a new dinosaur?"

I shook my head. "Probably not a good idea. Just saying."

"She was designed to be bigger than a T-Rex. Corporate felt genetic modification would up the 'wow' factor." Claire explained.

I gave Claire a look. "They're dinosaurs, 'wow' is enough."

Claire shook her head in response. "Not according to our focus groups. The Indominus Rex make us relevant again."

Owen chuckled. "The Indominus Rex."

Claire gave him a pointed look. "We needed something scary and easy to pronounce. You should hear a four year old say 'Archaeornthomimus' "

Owen was still laughing. "You should hear you try and say it."

I turned my head slightly and gave him an are you kidding look. Shaking my head. "Your still not funny Owen. Don't quit your day job."

From the corner of my eye I could see Claire smirking and holding back a laugh or any type of comments.

Owen and I followed Claire into a viewing room that had a glass walls that faced the inside the enclosure, walking further in making the door snap behind me. There was a lone man, who sat in front of four computer screens as the camera's flickered from the feed from inside the padlock. Standing there for a moment before heading towards the glass windows my eyes eyes automatically caught sight of a crack in the glass; walking towards it, my fingers ran over the jagged edges.
