The hardest part about being depressed isn't the feeling of sadness, stress, or anxiety. It's pushing the people you care about most away without thinking. It's having all of this pain inside without someone to tell or vent to. It's knowing that everyday, every night of your life you're dying inside and no one seems to notice or care. It's knowing that there is mentally something wrong with you, and you're scared to tell someone. It's wanting help but you're too scared to tell someone or to tell your parents that you need a therapist. It's being trapped and drowned in your own mind.. Your OWN mind. It's knowing that you're driving yourself crazy and insane everyday that you don't say anything about your feelings. It's being there for other people but then not having anybody there for you. Depression isn't just one factor or feeling. Depression is your world, it consumes your body and your friends. Depression kicks in and your body goes into overdrive. The hardest part about depression isn't what most stereotypes make it out to be, it's all the things that are slowly killing you.
