"We'll be back, okay? The meeting will only last this afternoon."

"Okay mom." The purple kitten replied. She and her brother watched their parents get in the carriage that they owned.

Their mother looked at them and smiled while she waved goodbye. Their dad on the other hand, just sat there.

"Bye mom! Bye dad!" They said in unison while waving with a smile.

The queen giggled. Then she looked back at her husband,"Why looking so serious, sweetie? Is there anything bothering you?" The king sighed and looked at her queen.

"It's nothing. I just felt something was a bit off."

The queen giggled again and rested her head on her husband's shoulder. "You're just worried. Relax, I know nothing bad is going to happen." She relaxed him, but it didn't work.

"What if someone tries to attack the castle? Or tries to kill the children? Or tries to kill you? So they can get revenge?" She looked at him.

"You're so negative." She playfully said, and held his hand. The king gripped it tightly but not too tight and still feeling something was very off.

A few hours later, it was already night time, yet the king and queen haven't returned.

"What's taking them so long?" The blue hedgehog whined. Making his sibling annoyed. "Oh, stop being a baby." He pouted and groaned in frustration.

"How did you even talked me out into coming to your room?"

She complained, while the blue hedgehog stick his tongue out.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

They both jumped.

"Your majesties, I'm just going to inform you that dinner is ready." A woman with a strict, yet sweet voice said. "Are you hungry?" The purple kitten asked in a whisper, then his stomach growled.

"There's your answer." She rolled her eyes and replied to the maid,"We'll be coming down in a sec-" "Wait. Is mom and dad back yet?" Her sibling blurted out.

"No, your majesty. They informed me that the meeting had a problem."

He sighed,"Okay, you can go now." His sister politely said.

"Yes, your highness." Then she left.

"I'll go to my room, okay? I need to change my clothes."

"Pfft, girls are so crazy to clothes."

She threw a small fire ball at his left ear.

"AHHH!!!" He started running around thinking of something to stop the fire from burning his ear.

She sighed and snapped her fingers to make the fire disappear. "I was only kidding you know."

She stuck her tongue out and left to go to her room.

"Girls..."

"Boys..."

Later, the purple kitten got to the dining hall, and saw his brother already sat on his regular seat.
