Sleepless

Auroras POV
Ugh. 2:34am Thursday. Can't sleep.
I can hear Hayes and Grayson snoring, otherwise everything else is pretty quiet. Amy and Ethan are pretty peaceful sleepers. Maybe Daniel is awake? I put on some slippers and sneak across the hall. I jump as someone taps my shoulder and says "hey, what are you doing up at this time?". It was just Jacob. I reply with "can't sleep" he said "same". Apparently Daniel is asleep so Jacob and I decide to walk around the halls for a while and talk about anything and everything. Before we knew it had been half an hour and we had reached back to our rooms. I ask Jacob if I can come in and he welcomed me back into his and Daniels room. I see Daniel peacefully sleeping in his bed, I noticed he had 2 beds put together made into one so he could have more room to sleep seeing as there are only 2 of them in their room. Jacob said goodnight/morning. I tip-toed over to Daniels bed and sat there stroking his messy bedhead fringe. After a while i hop under the cover and his arm wraps itself around my shoulders. Once again, the only place I feel where nothing can worry me.. I fall asleep pretty fast after that.

My phone started buzzing, I squinted trying to look at the screen.. 6am and Amy wants to know where I am. Oh. I forgot to text her. I quickly send her a text.

Amy: Aurora? U okay? Where r u?
Aurora: omg I'm so sorry! I'm across the hall
Amy: 🌹😋😏 I'll leave you to it then.

Daniels alarm went off at 8am
He looked over and said "hey" I said "hey"
I know he knew I had been there most of the night after the party. Because of school I quickly ran across the hall; showered and got dressed. Amy and I walked down the street to Starbucks and got an iced coffee each. By the time we walked back it was almost time for class. Daniel walked me to my first class and it was a pretty usual day..
It's hard to believe I've known Daniel for just a few weeks. We have become so close in the past week. As I walk back to my room I notice Grayson and Ethan talking, something didn't seem quite right. I asked what's up with them and they said just assessments but I knew it wasn't just assessments.
