Chapter 16

Lucy p.o.v

School went really slowly, for all three of us. Shannon wasn't being herself, something was up. But whenever I tried to talk to her, she would pretend that someone was calling her.

Our last lesson was music. It was making up a song and performing it to the rest of the class, in a group.

I hated being popular, I stood up and started to walk over to Sophie and Amy but everyone started shouting at me to come over with them. I refused all of them and carried on walking towards Sophie and Amy.

"Do you want to ask if we can go into one of the practice rooms?" Sophie asked quietly. I quickly nodded.

We walked over to Mr Taylor and Sophie patted him on the shoulder to get his attention, "Sir? Can we go to one of the practice rooms please because it is to noisy in here?"

"Yeah sure. Go to the one at the end of the hall." Mr Taylor said with his usual smile. "Anything else?"

"Yes, can we borrow a guitar?" I asked.

"Of course."

"Thanks." I grabbed a guitar and followed the others to the practice room.

"So what shall we write?" Amy asked first.

"Shall we make a love song?" Sophie suggested looking at me.

"I really don't mind." I said, because I really didn't.

"Well you are the best song writer here." Sophie said.

"No I'm not. Your songs are brilliant." I said.

"Come on Lucy you can't deny that. You are going to have an album. Oh yeah you are going to begin with a solo and then we will walk up and join in." Amy said.

"Yeah because you need to get used to performing on your own." Sophie added. I hadn't really thought about that, I have only really ever performed with my friends.

"Ok fine." I said. "Actually I have an idea as we don't have that long why don't we use one of my songs that I have already written. I know all off them off by heart and it means we won't have to make a whole new one up."

"Yeah that's a great idea! Me and Amy will harmonise in the background." Sophie said with a big smile on her face.

"Ok well Lucy you sing one, then me and Sophie will make up harmony's along the way." Amy said whilst sitting down and getting her phone out.

I sat down and started strumming the chords out on the guitar. Then I started to sing.

"Why did you have to do this to me?

I trusted you with everything,

I thought what we had was special

But you thought different......."

When we finished the song I heard a small bell then turned around to see Amy looking at her phone.

"Did you record that Amy?" I said seriously I didn't mind but I just wanted to know.

"Maybeeee." Amy said looking at the ceiling.

"It's ok if you did just please don't give it to anyone." I said getting my phone out to check it.
