Chapter 2

Ariel's POV:

First day of school!

I woke up bright and early just so I could pick out my outfit for the day. I went with a light blue top, a white cropped sweater and black jeans. I threw on a pair of comfy sneakers and then worked on my hair.

"Ariel...what are you doing up so early?" I heard Belle, one of my roommates, complain. I looked at her and smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry Belle...I'm just excited for the first day..." I explained in a low whisper.

"6 in the morning is a bit ridiculous!" Snow White, my other roommate, suddenly whisper yelled and threw a pillow at me, "Class doesn't start until 9!" She groaned and lay back down. I frowned and threw the pillow back.

"I'm sorry guys...I just couldn't sleep." I apologized and looked at the clock, "I'm going to take a trip to the coffee shop near the campus. Want anything?" I asked with a smile.

"More sleep." Snow White mumbled through a pillow.

I nodded and quietly tiptoed out of the room with my purse.

When I got to the coffee shop there was barely anyone there. Then again, it was 6 in the morning and people don't usually get their coffee until at least 7:30.

I smiled at the name of it. Happily ever after café. It was cheesy but I love cheesy. I went inside and walked up to the counter.

"What can I get you?" The barista asked with a smile.

"I'll get the number three special." I smiled at my choice, a breakfast burrito, hash browns and a hot cup of coffee. Once I told the barista how I wanted my coffee and paid for it all, I sat at a table and listened to the music that was softly playing. I think it was some kind of jazz music. My order came and I began to enjoy my burrito.

I heard someone come through the front door so I looked up and nearly choked on my burrito. It was Eric and he was with his friends, Hiro, Peter and Kristoff. What were they doing here so early?! I slid down in my seat hoping they wouldn't notice me.

Kristoff's POV:

"Do you think this place has energy drinks?" Peter asked and looked at the menu.

"It's a coffee shop Peter." I laughed and shook my head.

"Well I hate coffee." Peter grumbled.

"Why did you even get us up so early Eric?" Hiro asked with a shrug.

"Because of basketball tryouts. We have to get up early and go to bed late. That way we're ready for when we get put on the team." Eric explained and placed his order.

"I'd rather snow board than shoot hoops but I guess it'll do since there's no snow board team..." I shrugged and looked around the café. That's when I noticed a girl from our school sitting alone. I think her name is Ariel. I remember Eric saying something about liking her back in middle school. I wonder if he still does. If I'm being honest...Ariel is kinda cute.

Hiro's POV:

I looked over at where Kristoff was looking and grinned. I nudged Eric and gestured to Ariel who was sitting by herself.

"Isn't that Ariel?" I asked in a whisper.

"Oh...yeah..." Eric nodded and nervously rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well what are you waiting for? Go talk to her." Peter chimed in with a smile.

"I don't know..." Eric said in a mumble.

"Well then I guess Kristoff is going to make a move." Peter shrugged.

"Wait what?" I looked over at Ariel to see Kristoff walking over to her. What was he doing?
