"At what time do I go pick you up at school?"
"School ends at 4:15 mom"
She gives me a kiss and leaves me in the park.
I am start to walk to school by myself because I can't find anyone to walk me.
....
all of the sudden I hear a
CRASH!!
And someone's arms around me.
I start to panick and scream!
"Leave me alone pleaseee!" I screamed to the person.
He didn't answer me instead he took me to the side walk i think.
"Look I'm sorry that I carried you like that but you were crossing the street and a truck almost ran over you" the man said his voice sounded raspy and his breath smelt like bubble gum.
"......thank you I'm sorry that-
"Its alright were are you headed? I could take you in my car"
he friendly! that's a good sign I thought to myself
"I was going to school after all this but can you please leave me in my house I really don't feel like going now." I actually want to go I'm just a little nervous.
"Are you sure? What school do you go to?" He sounds worried. He shouldn't be.
"No,I'm not sure can you please just drop me off at school I know that my mother would get mad if I stayed at home when its the first day of school in my entire life!"
" what you have never been to school?" He asked confused
"Yes I have ,but homeschooled I have never been to an actual school before.
Well I have but that was before this happened." I say pointing at my cane
"What if we go for coffee and you tell me how that happened?" I know he is smiling at me
"I accept"
I can't believe myself I almost died yet here I am inside his car going for coffee
....
He sits me down in one of the chairs from Starbucks and asks me what kind of coffee I want
Caramel iced coffee !!!
"So I don't want to sound rude but can you tell me now please?" He asks as he puts the cold coffee in my hands
I take a sip
And another
" we were on our way to my uncles house because my mother wanted to see him he was sick, the road was wet it had rained for days. There was a truck. It didn't stop. It crashed with ours and flipped us around. When the ambulance came ,mom said that I was on conscious ,so they took me to the hospital. When I woke up the next day the doctor told me that from the shock of the car crash I was left blind."
