Dead ice

Chapter 1

"Whoa!" Jane said stoping her horse Spark,
"What is that?" She mumbled under her breath as She got off her horse, "stay" Jane said to spark as She leaned over the ditch She was standing at, She gasped as She saw a dead body face up, she started to gag as Jane hopped back on her horse and ran to the stable, "whoa!" Jane said as She got off her horse, "I love you spark" Jane whispered as She quickly put him in his stable, "I'll be right back" She said running to her house.

"Oof!!" Jane said falling in the thick snow.
She Entered the warm house and grabbed her phone off of the tiny table Next to the entrance, She called the police and told them what She saw.

A couple hours passed and She had seen no police, She started to paste back and fourth worried they'd never show, half a hour passed and still no sign of the police Jane began to wonder what was happening.

She ran back to the stable and hopped on Spark, "yaw" She yelled as he began to run , Jane looked around the neighborhood as She saw a person walk inside their home, everything looked pretty much normal.
Jane continued to ride.

Jane kicked the left side of Spark to signal him to turn left, he turned then he bucked up she held on as hard as She could he then started to squeal "eeeeeeeerrrrrrphhhhhh!!!".

"WHOA!!" She screamed as he stood straight, "it's okay.... Your okay Spark" Jane said to him as She rubbed his cheek, he stood there waiting for a signal to start running again, the snow fell on them as they waited for something to happen, Jane looked up and there was nothing but clouds and snow flakes falling down on them, She got scared as Jane saw a man walking up to her and Spark with a knife she started to wonder am I gonna die? Fast and no time to think she signaled Spark to run and he ran as fast as he could, she signaled him to turn on the right turns he listened they finally got away and got home.

"That was close..." Jane said as she locked him up in the stable, "I don't know what I'd do without you Budd" Jane said smiling as he stared at her.
"Good night Spark" Jane said as she slowly walked away.

"Ugh!" Jane sighed as she fell back first on her bed, she turned on her heater.

"Coo coo" an owl woke her up at 2:13am.
"What?" She said as she launched up, she got out of bed and looked out her window to check on the stable, she saw noting out of the ordinary, she turned off her heater then slipped on shoes and went to check on Spark.

"Spark, you okay boy?" Jane said as she opened the stable door, Spark stomped his feet in excitement, "haha!, hey boy!" He said letting him out, she then set the saddle on him and got ready to ride.
"Giddie up!" Jane said getting on him,
"Let's have some fun Spark!" Jane said as she made him jump a pole, "GOOD BOY!" She said laughing as she told him to slow down, jane's eyes widened as she feel off her horse onto the thick iced snow, she passed out.

Spark stood there not knowing what to do, he did something no horse would do, something amazing.
