"Lilly! Lilly wait up!" I turned around to see my best friend running towards me like a mad man.

"Ok. Cam, you have to calm down or I'm never going to understand a word you're about to say and from the sounds of it, it's important."

"Hell yeah it's important!" I couldn't help but glare at him when he swore. He knows that's the main cause to all his detentions this year and we're in the middle of the school hallway. "Sorry my bad, I know I need to be a lot more careful about that, but this is just so big, it doesn't even matter!"

I couldn't help but giggle from his excitement. "What could be so big that you, Mr. Troublemaker, don't mind another detention?" I looked at him expectantly. He clearly has some pretty big news to share with me if he's this excited, I mean he can't even stand still.

"oksoyouknowallthosevideosyoupostedofmeonyoutubesinginganagentcalledandtheywanttomakemefamous!" Cameron has a tendency to ignore the rules of clarity when he gets excited. So instances like this, where all his words become one, are very common.

"Cam, would you like to repeat that for normal person ears please?"

"So you know all those videos you posted on my Youtube account of my singing?"

"Yeah...." Where is he going with this? We've been posting videos of Cam singing since we were like 8 and our parents let us use Youtube.

"Somebody saw them Lil, somebody important saw our videos and really liked my singing. I'm going to be famous Lily! Can you believe it?"

As any 12 year old girl would respond to news like this, I screamed. Which is exactly why I'm currently in detention awaiting Mr. Andrew's permission to go home and celebrate my best friend's big accomplishments.

"CAMERON! WHERE ARE YOU, YOU BIG NUMB NUT?"

"Wow, the greeting every guy wants from his best friend when she comes over. I'm upstairs packing Lil pickle." Cameron responded to my greeting.

When he told me he was upstairs, I immediately darted off to his room not processing the first part of what he said. When I arrived in the entrance to his room, I immediately froze. As if the world had stopped, I just stared at Cameron next to his suitcase packing everything in room. Boxes were everywhere. In these boxes were his trophy from when he scored the winning touchdown at his championship football where we got ice cream after, his guitar that we used in all our videos, even his lucky dog tags I got him for his birthday 3 years ago.

"What are you doing?" I literally had to force the words out. I wasn't sure if they would have ever came out had I not said them right then because my throat felt like it was getting tighter and tighter.

"Lils, I'm packing. I told you at school that I'm going to be famous, remember? Of course I'm surprised you would forget the cause to Ms. Goodie2shoes first detention." He started laughing at his own remark and continued packing.

"Cam, I know you got the record deal. But why are you packing? You're not leaving are you?" I couldn't process the idea of him leaving. He was my best friend, my partner in crime, my everything. He can't just leave like this.

He stopped what he was doing and looked up at me. "Lilly, I'm going to Hollywood. That's where my record deal is."

No. He can't leave. "You're only going to record the music right? Not forever?" I was in denial by the fact that he was leaving.

Cameron got up from where he was sitting on his floor and came over to me. "Lilly, my whole family and I are moving there. Joey. Kelly. Mom. Dad. We're all going. I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you that."

"When?" I choked out. I couldn't believe they we're all leaving me. The entire Lincoln family, my second family, was just up and leaving like this.

"When what, Lils?" Cameron looked at me confused. Why was he confused? He's not the one about to lose everything in the blink of an eye.

"When are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow."

My heart stopped. I swear it literally stopped. There's no way that it was still beating after hearing that life altering news. I sank down against the door frame, attempting to process all this information that has been thrown at me in the last few minutes.

"Lilly are you ok?" Cameron asked me hesitantly.

I couldn't answer his question. The answer to his question I think would officially tear apart our already torn hearts.

Instead I asked a question that would cause as much damage, if not more.

"Will you even remember me once you become big and famous? I mean, I'll be a nobody then anyways"

Once those words were said, the waterworks began. I don't even remember how Cameron got across the room so fast, all I know is that I was immediately enveloped in his arms.

"Lilly Marie Andrews. Don't you ever say something so stupid like that! You are my best friend. The bestest friend any 12-year old could be lucky enough to have. So what? I'm going to leave for Hollywood tomorrow. Do you know how I even got there? How I even was given the opportunity to go live my dream? Because when I was 8 years old my best friend wanted to direct music videos where I somehow got to be the star. Lilly if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have this opportunity to go live my dream. I'm never going to forget you, Lils. You're too damn important to me. I will never forget you, and I won't be gone too long, I'll come back. I promise."
